Kinda curious weve got Heyman in charge. Tazz is turning heel if you havent watched its obvious the way hes calling matches and jumping all over the faces. Taz is taking messages like heyman use to do with his cell phone. Rhynos back by Heymans side...i see ecw....

No.

The Rhyno thing is to make it look like Cena has no chance.

No mainstream wrestling promotion will ever be able to be like ECW.

ECW ECW ECW ECW ECW ECW ECW

If Smackdown is becoming like ECW it would benefit Rhyno and some other guys, then Dreamer, RVD, and other former ECWers on RAW can jump ship to Smackdown

I know it's not going to amount to anything long-term, but I was marking out like crazy when Paul was doing his promo and Rhyno was just standing there, seething like he used to when Corino was his mouthpiece. F'ing awesome. And the Extreme Rhyno was very cool...

Why the hell do people keep saying they want ECW to be recreated by the WWE? WWE will never reform ECW, and even if it was a cold day in hell, WWE wouldn't be able to recreate ECW in a way that would satisfy the hardcore ECW fans. A watered down WWE version of ECW would have ECW fans pissed and boycotting the product withing no time at all. Saying all of the old ECW stars should form a new ECW on RAW or Smackdown or whatever is a horrible idea. Hell, WWE "reformed" ECW during the invasion angle, and that went over great didn't it?

I never watched ECW that much, but I saw enough to know that it was definately something special during its good times. But ECW needs to stay dead that way its reputation won't be ruined. Besides the way ECW ended, it's going to leave a nice legacy on the wrestling world. Why mess with that legacy?

I don't want ECW recreated by the WWE, but it will live forever

At least they unburied Rhyno. Mad props to Cena... that was a hilarious closing segment.

If all WWE power-abusing authority figures could be as entertaining as Paul Heyman, I'd be happy. CHHHRRISSS!!!!!

Doubly so for a mainstream wrestling promotion run by a McMahon.

I haven't seen all of SD!, yet, just pieces of it. But what I saw was awesome. Since there's no spoiler warning onthis thread, I won't go into detail, but Heyman's actions were classic.

I dont think that SD is turning into ECW, however that wouldn't be the worst idea in the world.

Ive said since day one of the brand extension that the two shows need their own call letters. The obvious choice would have been WCW RAW/Nitro on Mondays and WWE SD on Thurs, but of course that was too logical to happen.

With SD being the better wrestling it wouldn't be a bad idea to have Heyman somehow take over and change it to ECW Smackdown. It would be just easier in terms of naming titles and what not. I mean you have all the RAW titles, which use the word "World" and the SD titles are all "WWE", but it gets confusing because RAW is also WWE.

But they would never do this.

Yes, Smackdown is becoming like ECW.

It's now run on a shoestring budget out of the basement of Paul Heyman's mother's house, and the only place you can find it on TV is in the New York area.

And you couldn't even understand those two word thoughts. They actually had to be explained for you.

Now think about this with common "sence."

If I'm as dumb as you claim, and you can't figure out, that would make you what?

If you answered dumber, you're still sparking a couple of brain cells.

If you couldn't even figure that one out, you're probably...Well, wrestling_god.

Salt lake city...

Well there you have it!

I mean, being not seen in Salt Lake City is the same as only being seen in NYC!

That totally devoids it being seen by most audiences nationwide.

Back on topic: No. SmackDown is not becoming ECW. I wish it were, but I'd be satisfied if Paul Heyman were just given complete creative control over SmackDown. I am wondering if there was a promotion I didn't hear about, though. I mean...Rhyno was on a TV main event, for crying out loud.
