View Full Version : La Resistance (I guess there's a Raw spoiler in here)

I think that La Resistance is one of the best tag teams to come through the WWE in a very long time. At first, I didn't like the Grenier and Conway pairing as much as I did the Dupree and Grenier pairing, but I think that they work amazingly as a team.
Anyway, after seeing them both compete in singles matches over the past few weeks, I'm actually quite excited about the feud that seems like it's about to take place. I think that they would put on some pretty sweet matches against each other.
The only problem would be that that marks probably wouldn't get too into the whole thing, especially considering they were both heels. I suppose they could turn one of them face, but I think that might kinda suck.
Does the prospect of a La Resistance feud excite anyone else? Do you think it's possible for Grenier and Conway to get over as singles wrestlers? How would you book the feud?

First I must say I like them as a team. I actually prefer them to any other on Raw, even the tag champs, who I find to be shit. But I never really understood the point of seperating Dupree from Grenier. They make the most sense together, whereas Conway only fit in if they were going for a stable. Not as a tag team solely, with either one of them.
I see by sometime near the end of the draft Conway or Grenier moving to smackdown, depending on what happens with Rene. This should give us enough time to see a short feud with Grenier and Conway, with probably Conway going over and then reforming the team of Dupree and Grenier.
Anyways I like all three of them, and think they have the potential to do alright for themselves in the future.

I haven't really been watching Smackdown, but is Dupree involved in anything over there right now?

Nope, and as a matter of fact I dont think he even appeared on smackdown this week.

He's probably kicking ass on Velocity, at least.

I read that Dupree was assigned "time off" after being "sacrificed" by Taker, in order and should be returning, sans Fifi, sometime around the draft.
Also, I think La Resistance is the best tag team the WWE has right now and they shouldn't be broken up. Maybe re-packaged but not broken up.

Why sans Fifi?

La Resistance bore the fuck out of me. I hope they push Conway as a singles wrestler or have him team with Dinsmore when he returns.

It's not their fault they're boring. They've had NOTHING to work with. They're a stellar fucking team.

They both impressed me on RAW this week. Grenier could do well with a singles push (that's self-explanitory), so they may as well send him to SmackDown!, and perhaps set up a tag team with Rene Dupree in the future.
On RAW, a Rob Conway vs. William Regal feud, with Eugene eventually returning and siding with Conway as Nick Dinsmore, would be all kinds of awesome. If they can just march The Heart Throbs and The Shane Twins against The Hurricane & Rosey for a few months, a tag team match between the Justice Legion and The Lords of the Ring would be a rainbow of awesome.

I think they suck because they have no opponents. WHich means, in order to win Tag Titles, they have to lose them, unfortuantly, they lose to shitty teams thus looking like crap. By the way, their gimmick is crap, plain and simple. I even thought that when they debuted.
They are pretty good as a team but do not interest me that much due to the lack of competition that they get. Looks like one may be sent over to Smackdown soon.

Conway & Grenier are entertaining as singles wrestlers (they even look bigger)

Yeah, Grenier looks like he's been bulking up for serious.
