Some WWE DVD news. "Tombstone: The History of the Undertaker" is a
3-disc set slated for a 8/23 release. This will be much like the Flair
DVD with Taker giving commentary on his matches with tons of extra
features. Triple H has a 3-disc set coming out on 11/22 titled
"Evolution of the Game", focusing on the DX era, the McMahon-Helmsley
era, and the Evolution era. Also released on 11/22 is ECW's Greatest
Matches, which is a 2-disc set. This will actually be the greatest
matches and not the tame fluff they put on the Rise & Fall DVD. Finally
there is a Greatest Ladder Matches 2-disc set coming out on 9/27.

The ECW DVD is really the only one that interests me. I've seen all the ladder matches like 20 times already. Taker bores me and so does HHH, even though he did great work back then..
1 more week till the Road Warriors and then that 80's DVD though

They all sound pretty awesome, IMO :y:

That ECW DVD sounds hot. And actually, the Triple H one if it includes his best work from the 98-2000 period would be worth the buy.

Nobody buy the Triple H one. The WWE will realise that he is clearly a massive heel as everyone hates him and give him back the title...Shit.

I would get the HHH one if they had some of his WCW-era material, in depth.
that one they released called "The Game" a couple of years back seemed like it was lacking some of that.

HHH did jack squat in WCW. They would never have that footage.

Taker DVD should be awesome. I still don't have a Taker DVD in my collection. The old school Paul Bearer promos alone would be worth the price.
Also, the ECW DVD should be cool as the "Rise & Fall" DVD is probably one of my most played.

Taker's holds some interest to me. They haven't done a really good chonicle of his career. I wonder if they'll show some of his stuff before he came to WWE.
HHH has had a few DVDs made for him, so this will be a rehash. Really they should hold off on this one, just because we all know he's going to stay on top for the next 10 years.
ECW is good.
Ladder Match DVD will be another rehash, and I think watching that many Ladder Matches at once would get kinda dull after a while. But its still kinda cool to have them all in one package.
I'm also hyped about the LOD and 80s DVDs, mainly because I dont have a lot of those matches on tape.

Yea.
I wonder if they'll show the stuff with Jake/Warrior on the Taker DVD. I loved that stuff for some odd reason. I also loved his Ministry days, but already have a compilation of all of that.
I'm actually waiting for the Warrior DVD too :o

I'm looking forward to all thoses DVDs except the ladder match one as i've watched them to death.
I'm only interested in matches from '98 to 2001 on HHH's DVD, but there might be some good stuff.
ECW, ECW, ECW!!!!!!!!!
Can't wait for Takers should be AMAZING!!, wonder if this will be his last year and the wwe are trying to cash in on it.

I am looking forward to Takers dvd and the ECW one.
Dont really care much for the HHH one.
All of them sound great, although I may or may not get Triple H's, simply for the fact that, no doubt, there will be at least three more DVD sets of that size. By the end of his career, he'll need ten HD-DVD discs just for his title wins. :shifty:
With that said, I'm surprised no one has made the Triple H/Warrior crack. :shifty:
The Undertaker one, though...... I'm a huge Taker mark, and I've been waiting for this set for so fucking long. It will be worth it for the Ministry era alone in my opinion.
The ECW DVD has 'Great' written all over it.

HHH should plug his dvd on raw for 1 hour
HHH should plug his dvd on raw for 1 hour
Are you kidding? There would be a whole fucking weekend-long marathon promoting it. And it's nothing but an extremely boring, seemingly never ending Triple H promo.
Yeah, so basically just a longer RAW.

ECW dvd, I am there. Taker and Ladder match dvds, um, enough of either of them will bore anyone.
And HHH's dvd? Sounds good for the around 2000 stuff, but if there is commentary by HHH for every match, forget it. Just imagine more of his rambling on a dvd:
HHH: "Let me tell you about this one. No one can stop the game, that is why I am in this business for so long and I have stopped everyone. I am the champion, GAME! " **Repeats for 3 straight hours**

(Doing commentary for the Triple H vs. Warrior match.)
(All you hear is Michael Cole being choked for the whole two minutes.)
- OR -
Triple H: You see, my leg buckled there, and I couldn't quite get the full impact, and he landed on my knee, which sprung him back up. The rest of the match was his fault, though, he tripped.
That was so cheap, but I had to do it. :shifty:

Only thing about the Ladder Matches DVD is that it should have two on it:
Bret vs. Dynamite Kid
and
Bret vs. Shawn (the first one in the WWF).
Of course, it will start with Micheals/Ramon...
ECW DVD and Taker DVD sound class. The other Taker DVD was a bit of a disappointment so hopefully this one can live up to it.
I still demand a Jericho DVD

That Undertaker DVD actually looks really good. I'll definitely get that (I've always been a huge Taker mark). I might get the HHH one, depending on the matches and all, but there'll probably be a new one released in a few years. ECW one is a must, and I have pretty much every ladder match on VHS/DVD anyways.
I think they should wait until wrestlers are like retired before making DVD's on them. Because what if Undertaker has one or two more great matches, before he's retired? (Highly unlikely but anyway) Then will they make another DVD just to include the 2 matches?
I think this claim can be backed up better by saying that HHH's DVD is pointless, since HHH is bound to be 'King of the Hill' at least for another 4 or 5 years, he's bound to have many more great matches (at least in Vince's eye) so does a new DVD be made just to include these matches?

Dont surpised if Bret/Shawn is on there.
The HHH and ECW dvds come out the same day. What do you think HHH's reason would be for ECW out selling him by 10x? Which it will.

Taker stuff looks good.
I sure hope that the Triple H DVD will feature Triple H taking on the Ultimate Warrior at Wrestlemania 12.
ECW DVD will probably be awesome.
Intercontinental title....might get it, it should feature some great matches.

Also, are they still doing the "no saying WWF/showing the scratch logo" stuff on old footage?
