How do you think "One Night Stand" is going to turn out? The way I figure it, it can only go one of two ways. I really don't see a happy middle here.

It's ECWWE now. It's never gonna be the real deal. No Raven. No New Jack. RVD's not cleared to wrestle. And I don't like the fact that the WWE writers are going to be involved. It's Paul Heyman's company...They should let Paul Heyman have majority control.

The card looks good so far, I just have a horrible feeling that WWE are going to stuff it up somehow. Putting non-ECW guys on it is a big mistake I think, and the whole invasion thing with Eric Bischoff and Raw? They just need to leave everything and put on an ECW show, but they won't do it, they'll manage to twist it into just another WWE show. It was an idea that could've been brilliant but I think they're going to screw up.
Vince isnt smart enough to let ECW alone.....He destroyed wCw with the invasion situation.....Now he wants to stop the chants for good by leaving new ecw fans with a bad taste in there mouth...For the sake of the ECW's great past and good memories...Just let it go...

The words "Here, Paul, we don't trust you at all anymore but here... take this.. it's control of the PPV that will basically make or break our year" are probably the second last series of words I expect to come out of Vince's mouth after "I'm sorry Brett, I was MY fault."

I agree. I'm just saying,... Paul Heyman made ECW, Paul Heyman should control ECW. He never needed WWE writers before...I don't see why he needs them now. He needs WWE's money, there's no doubt about that.
And as for people not liking Eric Bischoff and Kurt Angle being involved, I dis-agree. I think Bichoff should be involved because he fired/released talent that in my opinion put ECW over the top. And Angle made appearances in ECW before he came to WWE. JBL should get the F out though. I know he was involved with the other invasions, but he doesn't have any real ECW ties.
And I'm a little afraid from what I've seen that they're gonna treat ECW matches like WWE matches...You probably won't see the classic no-selling of ol'. Except for Al Snow! :y: (sorry...had to get an Al Snow joke in there)

I dunno, I think ECW fans are too damn rabid to let Vinnie-Mac do that. WCW fans were already used to getting shit on, so hey no big deal. But ECW fans (the OGs) will friggin riot.

Well, ECW was always about the fans, great booking and the willingness of the wrestlers.
1. You will know in the first few moments whether or not the fans in attendance are true ECW fans or whether they are wannabe WWE fans. If the fans are sucky WWE marks I think it will just throw the PPV off completely for anyone who has actually knows a bit about ECW's history and seen thier events..
2. Its my bet that the arena will be half and half of ECW fans and WWE fans. I hope the ECW fans kill the WWE fans in a drunken rage. If I see any pro Cena, Triple H, JBL, Batista etc signs:nono:.
3. The ECW PPV is going to be a big success financially. The event may end up sucking, but the fans will figure that out AFTER they've shelled out their money.
WWE fans who attend will go home happy because I think this WWE presents ECW event will be a good change compared to the lame and tame SD and Raw PPV's.
The ECW fans will go home pissed.

One way to spot a wannabe ECW crowd would be ECW chants at EVERY possible opportunity. They'll chant ECW for anything. If Axl Rotten bends down to tie up his boots he'll end up doing it in rythm with an 'E C DUB' chant from the wannabe crowd.
Mind you, at $400 for a seat, I would get my money's worth too. E C DUB! E C DUB! E C DUB!

We really do not need this anti ECW angle at the mo.
Just make it old school ECW.
Im sensing Invasion V2

*Puts finger to head and compares scenes of last nights Raw to those of three years ago*
You're spot on. They really didn't need an invasion angle to sell this PPV. Hardcore ECW fans will buy it regardless while only a handful of WWE fans will be tempted.

Well, I think that having Raw stars go there will make it less of a true EC-Dub shin-dig.. But, I'm keeping my hopes up. I think that WWE senses that there is competition coming up, so, they may try to push a decent product once again.
*And heres a shot of Jamesons to hoping I'm right*

It's a good thing this PPV's not in Philly. The Philly fans would literally kill the WWE wannabes. I can see it now... Flash to a fan with no head hanging from the the crow's nest with an HBK shirt on and an "I love Stacy" sign shoved up his ass.

Another funny thing I noticed, and I'm sure you all did too, but the O.N.S. Theme, "Bodies" was the entrance music for the WCW/ECW Alliance during the 2001 invasion angle.

I was going to order the PPV but I figured they will show the best bits on Raw the next night.
If they don't I could always download it.
