You know what RHS, this guy just doesn't want to be found.
He moved from place to place, conning people as he went along. I remember a story that goes a little like this: Haynes tried promoting a show up in Oregon City, and the event bombed and he was esentially homless, and living in his car. So time marches on, and then BJ is next seen in St. Helens, where he somehow talks their Chamber of Commerce that he was a promoter and could bring them an event.
So, the entire town takes up a collection - totalling in the area of many a thousand dollars. Then.....good ole' BJ disappeared with cash [much to the surprise of everyone not involved in the wrestling business]. Soooo....it's stories like these that lead old KM here to believe that that is why he stays in hiding.
Everything he snorted up his nose, and Jim knows what else he did, killed his career - and it seems that once a POS, always a POS. No one really hears from him anymore, & I know even a lot of people who were close friends can't find him.

UNBELIEVABLE Kayfabe.
Thank you for the info.
Hey was he fired from the WWE or did he leave there on his own?

Billy Jack had opened a gym franchise up in Oregon on his own during his time in WWF. It was a big deal for BJ, as he'd gotten Hogan, Savage, etc. to come there to promote the opening and yadda, yadda, yadda.
Anyhow, Billy Jack also wanted to start up a promotion / territory of his own - but the good guy Vince was, Vince said if he started anything up at all, he'd be fired. So...BJ decided that he was going to skip being fired and just quit and do it anyway - thinking his own mind that he was a BIG draw, especially in that area where he was well known.
Anyhow, from there Billy went on to run the OWF show(s) that I mentioned above as costing him his life. He mortgaged his house, and all his other shit - and lost all of it. It was all in a big attempt to run then promoter Don Owens out of business [trust me, one of the dumbest things to do in getting into business is to do it to run someone else out - I know this myself - as you'll spend every last dime you have].
So anyway, yeah, BJH kinda killed Portland wrestling and definitely killed his career / reputation.
