Joe Dombrowski sent in the following:

We are very proud to announce a new beginning for professional wrestling in the UK, with the formation of 1PW: 1 Pro Wrestling, who present their debut show on Saturday, October 1st at the Dome in Doncaster, England.

1PW will bring to the UK the Top Wrestlers from the US, including main event superstars from TNA and Ring of Honor. We pride ourselves on bringing to the UK, wrestlers who fans would rarely, if ever, get a chance to see live. Our debut show is entitled "A Twist of Fate".

We are very happy to announce that Matt Hardy will make his first ever non WWE wrestling appearance in the United Kingdom at 1PW "A Twist of Fate". Hardy has remained in the fans' hearts since his WWE departure, as fans still chant " We Want Matt " at live WWE events. Well, the good news is that Matt Hardy can't wait to come over to the UK and share a special evening with his UK fans at "A Twist of Fate". Matt's opponent for the show? TNA's monster Abyss! This will be the UK wrestling debut for the masked big man who has terrorized the ranks of TNA.

After the recent events in Matt's personal life he has dedicated himself to refocusing his efforts on his in-ring career, and is actively accepting challenges from the biggest and best in the world today. And they don't get much bigger than 6'8" 350 lb. Abyss. Not only one of the most intimidating and ruthless individuals in wrestling today, Abyss has spent most of early 2005 targeting Matt's brother Jeff in TNA, even going as far as to "Black Hole Slam" Hardy into a pile of thumbtacks. Jeff was never able to avenge that savage beating, however with brother Matt fighting with plenty of inner rage, and in fornt of his passionate UK fans; he may just be the one who can topple the monster.

One further match has been signed thus far for the show; Raven VS Sandman: and this is another first time in the UK.

Abyss is 6'8''?Sorry but i can't believe that, he is not as big as Kane. Good to see Matt over here in the UK, if it were in London i would go to see that show.

Kane's SEVEN FEET TALL man!!!!!!!! :shifty:

(Actually, I think 6'8" sounds about right. He's not as big as Kane, but Glenn Jacobs has got to be at least 6'10" so two inches off isn't a huge stretch).

Nah, from what ive seen Abyss looks just above 6'0'' at most, maybe my eyes are just deceiving me. Abyss is a shitty wrestler though it has to be said, from what i've seen of him in TNA atleast.

Matt has fans? Besides whiny, lovestruck teenagers? Wow. I'd say I'm impressed but I don't like to lie.
