Hey hey, welcome to RTW. In case you didn't notice, I was gone, so thanks to KayfabeMang for filling in for me while I was having some computer troubles. Rep him alot.

The other day, Sabu scored a 71.

Yesterday, CCC scored an 80.

Today, we are going to beat around David Arquette. Rate as you see fit.

2, would have been a one but he took his WCW paychecks and put them towards the families of Owen, Droz, Pillman, and others.

I give him a 10

For the fact that when you think of WCW he is one of the first names you think of which is sad. All the major stars they had and yet when WCW is mentioned David Arquette is one of the first things many think of.

2-for what Innovator said.
I don't blame him for sucking what was left of WCW's dignity away, I blame the people in charge at the time.

James Steele

I would give him a zero but I think Arquette is better than Bobcore. Plus, what he did with those WCW paychecks shows something you don't see out of a lot of shitty actors...class.

wrestling ability: 1
enhancement of company's image: 1
nice guy factor for giving his pay to the families of Owen and Droz: 7

average of that is 3.

For some reason, I'm getting two of this same thread - and even though I posted in the other one, I'm going to move this here too, in the event that this one is the main one.

Thanks Dave. I may not have known how to put those scroll bars up, but I think all was alright. Also, everyone rep legendkiller for suggesting CCC in the first place, and for calculating Sabu's score. On to today's RTW:

You know what. I'm not even going to blame David Arquette, or hold it against him. It was simply a man doing a job. He was hired on for the movie, and then hired on to win the Belt and make appearances. It got some decent attention. If the two Vinces could win a belt, then fuck it, Arquette is OK with me too. Plus he is technically a second generation in the wrestling business.

I'm not going to vote, but people are easy to hate on David Arquette, and I don't think it's entirely fair. The guy is OBVIOUSLY a long time wrestling fan. If WCW would have came up to me and decided that they wanted me to win their World championship, I'd be like "FUCK YEAH!". It's not like he politicked his way into it or anything. He was just given the opportunity to live out a dream, and he took it. Good on him. He seems like a decent enough guy.

But yeah, shitty wrestler.

3.

BTW Looking at the bottom of the ratings list, I bet if we did Viscera again he'd do a lot better

Unless I'm horribly mistaken, these threads rate a wrestler on his talent in the wrestling world, don't they? Why would David Arquette get a 10? There's no justification in that. Sure, it wasn't his fault he was pinned with the World Title, but he still wasn't even a wrestler for crying out loud.

0. Big goose egg. :)

10, a good business move if nothing else, and it had me entertained, (sports entertainment ppl, not sports)

5. Again, the championship wasn't his fault. Reportedly, he didn't want it, but Russo was adamant.

And, if we are going to rate him on his wrestling abilities (which include the whole sports entertainment aspect), I think 5 is a decent score. Considering Russo was thinking of putting the title on Tank Abbott, who had little wrestling skill and no charisma, Arquette seems to be an almost decent choice by comparison.

it's ashame that Arquette gets 2 pages of ratings, while most actual wrestlers get 1

Is it any consolation that most of them came here to vote 0?

What the fuck? I'm refusing to vote this thread, this RTW is bullshit.

What's next? Tomorrow, we have Jay Leno?

I was gonna give him a low score... but seeing as the anti-Holly mark wants him to finish as low as possible... 10.

Didn't know he gave his paychecks to Owen and Droz's families. Plus he never wanted the WCW Title.
