Yeah but being one of the best DEs in the league doesnt mean much in fantasy, hence why i dropped Jevon Kearse and picked up Marcus Washington, since linebackers make loads more points (Washington is gonna make like twice as many for me as Kearse would)

Why didn't anyone pick up Chris Brown?? is he out for the season or someshit...i picked him up but i was 13th on waivers.

Boomer if you're not going to accept my trades could you atleast reject them

How about YOU DICUSS IT WITH ME FIRST. You continue to make shitty ass trade proposals that make no sense for me to accept. And in the middle of one trade proposal, you make another FOR THE SAME PLAYERS with another shitty group of players. I know what you want, and I'm not going to give it to you if you continue to give me the biggest load of shit. I don't have to reject them. You should just expect that I'm going to reject you while you continue to just make up new trades in hopes that my intellegence might have gone down since the last trade proposal a day before.

Why the fuck would I want Losman. Why.

I dunno, I told people that I'd trade Tatum but tbh my team looks pretty solid right now so I probably won't trade... don't really have any gaping holes to fill, so getting rid of my RB2 is kinda st00pid. Unless I can steal Priest from Ferret. He's easy to dupe.

I don't know what to do with the roster positions anymore. I decided to take stima's advice and do the W/R thing, but now the roster size per team seems a little too big for me. Should I keep it as it is or what?

RP

I like alot of players on my team. I can move people in and out. Honestly there are so many players i want on my team. I think we need more.

Jesus Shuttlesworth
08-18-2005, 03:43 AM
I don't know about the roster size, but I would make one of the WR spots a WR/TE spot so you can utilize 2 TEs as starters, since finding 3 quality WR isn't exactly easy in a league this big.

RP
08-18-2005, 03:46 AM
I think i got 4 quality wr's now. A.Johnson, R. Wayne, J. Mcareins, R. Gardner. I have a problem at Rb.

Mr. Monday Morning

Your QBs are solid.

But how many teams were in your draft, because it looks like you were reaching a lot everywhere else. Dillon is solid, but Jordan and Fred Tayler (especially Taylor) are both gambles. And every one of your receivers after Chad Johnson has major red flags as far as fantasy is concerned. Honestly, Muhammed probably would've only been a decent third WR fantasy wise this year, even before Grossman got hurt. And David Boston....????

Nervous Ferret

Because I didn't want any more of anythign else.

To one of the posters above me -----> There were 10 people in it.

I wanted a 5th WR (because I'm dumb) and time was running out, so I had to go with Boston.

I'm trying to trade Carr and Taylor for Ahman Green lol.

BTW, I'm from WI, I'm a huge Packer homer, so I pretty much forced myself to pick Longwell.

Wow a 10 man league? That makes your team look even worse...

You could definitely use a LOT more depth at RB before even considering taking a SECOND QB, let alone third... taking Longwell is a good pick unless you did it before the 12th round or something. Dunno, still not very impressed with the team at all... assuming you took Dillon first and CJ second, with 10 people there still should've been a good RB or WR still on the board, and your next best player is Burress... I can guarantee there was someone better still up on the board than Burress.

ok, so I had one of my drafts last night, 10 teams, two auto drafted (neither got a TE and one ended up with 5 qb's).

Anyway, I should be happy, got 5 of my top 20, 3 of my top 10... but dunno, the team doesn't excite me.

Just curious what others think.

(Flex league, TE Must, 3 points for pass/rec TD, 6 for rush, no points per catch).

QB:
Plummer
Delhome
Sorgi

RB:
K Jones
McAllister
L Jordan
Staley
Blaylock

WR:
Moss
L Evans
D Branch
M Jones

TE:
Witten
LJ Smith

K:
Peterson

Def:
Falcons.

Dunno, on paper it looks good, just doesn't excite me...

Side note: Sorgi was the very last pick over-all in the draft, I figured worth a pick incase something ever happens to manning. This league people are known for grabing others backups, so the guy who took Mike Anderson to Bell ealry and the guy who took Holmes to Johnson early.

Nervous Ferret

which Moss?

Assuming it's Randy (you said 3 of your top 10 guys: Mcalister, RANDY Moss, and Kevin Jones??)

Yeah, it's Randy Moss.

Witten is a good grab, especially because it's a TE must league, so having a top TE is key.

I'm not a big fan of Plummer, but he put up so good stats last year, so just hoping he does it again or Delhome.

I don't rank fantasy players like most, ie: Points projections. I take their points projects and then deduct the points projection for the last possible starter.

ie: 10 team league, everyone starts 1 QB. My top ranked QB say Manning I project at 200pts and my 10th say Plummer I project at 150pts.

Manning would have a score of +50 and Plumer a score of 0 and then everyone after him is a negative number.

Allows me not to get the best scorer but the best scorer availble at each position.

Dunno, it's a system I've used for a few years now and has worked pretty well.

I gues we'll see... as I said, name wise the team doesn't excite me, but stat wise they all look pretty good. The only position I feel shakey is K, but I figure he'll have a lot of FG tries and plays in a dome.

As for the 5 RB's, Staley won't be back till after week #5 and Blaylock only does me any good if Martin goes down.

I guarantee there is atleast 5 qb's that are better then JIm Sorgi, sitting in free agency. I'd drop him. Manning has never missed a game. He plays behind a great offensive line that has only aloud 13 sacks each of two seasons.

Yeah, but I have 2 solid QB's, so the 3rd slot is really moot, and one team ended up with 5 qb's (gotta love auto-draft) plus are rosters expand after the draft so we can pick free agents w/o having to cut someone.

I'm bout to have a draft in a public league i joined at 8pmest. I'll update you on a few of my picks. I spent like an hour pre ranking the players i wanted and where i thought i could get them.

The only amount of time Sorgi will see is the 3rd and 4th qrt of the last game of the season.

I'd go for a guy like Kyle Boller ( Has alot to prove ) maybe Harrington ( same ). How bout Kurt Warner? I'm starting him in one of my leagues. I made a huge trade to get Shaun Alexander to pair him with LT. Traded Lelie, Fred Taylor, M.Vick, and T. Gonzales for ALexander and Muhammed. Not sure, don't really care.. it was a "Waste pick" something with little downside and a long shot potential of a huge upside.

let me look and see the QB's out there.

A few starters that I see out there.

Harrington, Boller, Eli Manning, All the miami QB's, all the Washington QB's, SF's QB's, Arizona QB's.

So yeah, there's a lot out there, but that point in the draft, I was set at QB and figured I'd gamble. I usually do a few long shot upside picks at the end of a draft, and usually one of them pays off big for me when someone gets hurt.

Time will tell, as I said... stats wise I'm really happy with this team, but just no one really excites me. (that a Duce hurt me last year with the injury, so I'm a little afraid of him).

RP
09-05-2005, 09:07 PM
Yah but you wont some depth. 3 QB's give you more of a option on who you wanna start. I'd take a chance on Manning or Rattay.

Yah but you wont some depth. 3 QB's give you more of a option on who you wanna start. I'd take a chance on Manning or Rattay.

I took Alexander with my first pick

Why would you EVER EVER EVER have 3 QBs???? Unless your league plays 2 per week, that is utterly retarded

Why would you not want 3 qb's if this is what you have :

QB:
Plummer
Delhome
Sorgi

Delhome might be really good, but i'd like to have really nice depth at that position just in case those QB's start sucking which all of them will at some point. I'd take a guy like Carr or Boller instead of Sorgi so i would have an option just incase one of them gets red hot at the same time PLummer decides to be Jake Plummer. Having Sorgi on the team makes no sense to me at all.

Why do you need 3? Delhomme is gonna be great this year, all you need is a decent fill-in for his bye.

He might be great. He might be average. He lost his leading reciever and his rb's are healthy this year. He put up great numbers last year partly because Muhammed emerged as a threat and there number 1 and number 2 running backs were out with injuries all year. He had to throw the ball alot. I kinda think his numbers will fall off a bit.

PLummer can be amazing one week and a disaster the next. I'm not sure why Denver puts up with that guy. I woulda been looking for a better starter like last year.

Sorgi is just stupid to even have on the roster. I mean if your confident in your first 2 QB's , why would you want sorgi taking a roster spot up? If you're gunna keep 3 qb's then why not get David Carr. Carr is on the verge of breaking out. He has weapons and his teams defense is decent and could get him on the field quicker. Where as Sorgi will not see any playing time this year. Even if Manning got injured seriously ( knocks on wood ) Sorgi would be terrible.

If i'm gunna stock 3 qb's . My third would be David Carr.

Also RDD . I'm thinking more along the lines of matchups. I like depth in FF football. For instance, In one of my leagues, my QB's are Vick and Kurt Warner. Vick was a higher draft pick then Warner. I got Warner with the last pick, but i'm gunna start Warner against the Giants rather then start Vick against the Eagles. Why? Because i think the Eagles are a much better defense and there secondary is one of the best in the league. That paired with the fact that Vick is already a questionable passer and his recievers are unproven. So i decided to go with Warner who is going up against an average defense in the NY giants. He has nice weapons and he's a pocket passer. He'll probably put up alot better numbers.

Depth in these leagues are underrated.

road doggy dogg
09-09-2005, 11:18 PM
Depth at RB is good. Depth at QB is retarded, because the way scoring is set up, and turd can put up serviceable numbers against a bad defense. Carry one QB, and if it looks like your man is gonna have a bad week, pick up a scrub like Harrington or E. Manning if they have a favorable matchup. No point keeping your bench full all season "just in case" your QB might have a bad week

Wondering if anyone noticed this, but the defense's scoring is all screwed up.

In my other league, I have NE's Defense, and after the game, they gave me 4 points, but a day later, it was reset down to 0. Under "projected points" for ALL defenses (in both leagues I'm in) it has 0.

I think NE's D's points were taken away from whoever is in this TPWW league.

However, I still have those points in the STAT TRACKER.

Ahhh week one, gotta love it. Well, thanks to a Mike Anderson injury and Priest Holmes being old, I have the delightful problem of having a few more RBs than I can juggle each week. Granted that it's always nice to have depth, I honestly could use some work elsewhere. If anybody's interested in Davis or Bell, shoot me an offer and maybe we can work something out. Possibly interested in a QB, WR, or anything on defense... surprise me
