This is from the people who made Medieval/Rome: Total War, but have changed things slightly. Instead of being in charge of different troops, you are controlling one guy and have to fight through the battle.
From what I've read it seems really impressive. You can have up to 200 guys fighting on screen at one time, with out a bit of frame rate slow down. The AI is ment to be good, with all other characters on screen actually fighting instead of standing around doing nothing.
It's mainly a hack and slash game, which is good for this type of environment setting. Basic weapons are swords, shield etc, but you also get the chance to have upgrades, and even some magic shit. It looks really good too. Here are some pictures:
