Which leads me to ask: How many people actually have a couple of HD TVs laying around...

...Of the same size...

...That you can put next to each other...

...And do you have enough money to buy me a couple?

I'm going to be buying a brand new tv to capitalize on the capabilities of the newer systems but as far as a couple of them, no. Cool I guess.

Cool, but rather extreme. A decent sized screen's gonna cost an arm and a leg already.

Yeah, as it is my TV is in shoddy condition. I figure by working this summer fulltime I won't really have many bills so I can save for school and stuff like the PS3 and a new TV. By springtime next year I will have saved so I won't think twice about it.

I suppose you're right, it is a tad extreme but it may be worth it.

I've got a job lined up that should allow me to net a HD TV at some point, but as I'm not going to be in any rush for a next-gen system, it probably won't be the first thing I buy. Or even close to the top of the list. However, keep in mind that even the cheapest HD TVs that would be practical for this app are either small (You can get a 15" for about 500 bucks) or too expensive for most people (Not counting truflats, which are large, bulky, and would be difficult to mount next to another TC, a decent size TV will cost you well over 1K).

The question for the topic wasn't about one big tv though, it was about having enough tvs to do panoramic shit. I'm willing to wager that Sony will reach about .00001% of its gamers with this feature.

Not to do panoramic, you're not.

Panoramic requires 32:9, which is 2 16:9 TVs next to each other. They also need to be Hi Def (If you don't have one)...

A friend of mine should be able to do it, if he doesn't mind hauling a TV up or down stairs.

It's temping to pick up a couple of 15" HD TVs just for this...

But expensive.
