I'm 90% sure that this is a problem which can't be fixed without opening it up and tweaking it and whatever. I, of course, won't be doing that. I'll use the warrenty we have to get one of those little asian men to come over and help me.
But I'm digressing from the point. My laptop won't read CD-ROMs. It's fine with DVDs, CDs, burnt CDs, blank CDs, etc. It's just having problem reading the CD-ROMs.
Any suggestion or will I have to put my warrenty to use?

Like I always suggest when having issues, if you are using XP try system restore ( Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools ->System Restore). Just choose to go back to a date when you know the computer was running fine.
If that doesn't work, you may want to go into the device manager ( My Computer -> System Information -> Hardware tab -> Device Manager ). Choose your CD/DVD drive and uninstall the driver.

Actually, so long as the drive is in there, when you restart your computer, it will automaticaly reinstall the driver.

I've fixed this a while ago. Thanks anyway though.
