It has been reported by Multichannel News that TNA and Spike TV will be finalizing a television deal, and both sides will likely sign the necessary paperwork this week. The deal is expected to be for a late Saturday night timeslot where TNA will be airing after Ultimate Fighter. The deal would not be in effect until WWE leaves Spike TV for their return to the USA network. This would make for an October start date on Spike for TNA.
As reported earlier by Adam Martin, CLICK HERE, TNA will be airing weekly episodes of Impact on their website at www.tnawrestling.com until their new television deal begins.

So they are screwed for the next 4 months. It's going to be tough to keep an audience through the net for 4 months, but when they do get on Spike they are bound to get better ratings than that 3pm Friday afternoon spot right?

What time will it air?...I might be able to watch it after work if it doesn't suck

I will definitely be watching the ufc, so I would probably stay tuned for a TNA show if it was on next. Especially with Raven as champ :D

4 Months! 4 Fucking months without a REAL TV deal? That is some harsh shit, but I think if, IF they can make it til October, it just might work. I doubt Raven will be Champ still by that time, but if he is you certainly have alot of Hardcore/old ECW/just plain old Raven mutants (like myself) who would watch. I am glad they didn't do the head to head with WWE thing since that would have killed them especially going into it with 4 months of no real air time.

This is most likely a better deal than the WGN one if the rumors that TNA had to buy their airtime are true. Still, the timing could have been better. Shouldn't they have tried to extend their FSN contract?
Also, 4 months is a long time, and there's probably a good chance Double J will reclaim his title by then.

How many people will actually take time to watch it from say 10 pm - 11pm on a Saturday freaking night?

Don't diss the showing of Impact on their website. IPTV is gonna be the next big thing, and I think that this will really help the company. It will make their prodoct available to most anyone in the world at any time they want it.

I don't get it, I thought they wanted two hours? Also, are you kidding me? Saturday Night is fucking pathetic. I'll be out 90% of the time and wont even watch it. Shit, TNA is really fucking stupid.
If they were are on Saturdays, I'd rather have them take a WCW Sat Night type slot from 6-8....it's a hell of a lot better than later Sat, where most people won't be around, and those that are will prob watch SNL instead.

So they're taking the Velocity timeslot. Not too shabby though. Better than the time they were on preivously.

Hurray for the Wrestling Channel. For regular TNA programming and Curry Man promos.

First Friday at 3pm when most kids are walking home from school and most people are just getting off work. Okay fine, its your first TV deal so yeah you'll take anything.
Now Saturday night... the OFFICIAL PARTAAAAAAY night? This just screams stupidity. Not too mention this deal is four months away. WTF?
They better run some fucking house shows somewhere in the country for these four months. At least they have ECW style Raven so go run some house shows in the ECW areas headlining Raven as your Champion against ECW alumni or Daniels, Styles, Lynn, Douglas..

Saturdays is OK for me. I've been able to catch WWE Velocity most weeks and if TNA is taking its place, that's fine. I tend to do all my Saturday stuff in the daytime, and at nights, I just want to unwind.

Has anyone ever heard of a VCR? I only ask because of all the whiny bitches who are complaining they won't be able to watch it.

Dude. Get in the 21st Century. TiVo's the way to go. Duhhhhh.

Yeah, I have a PVR on my computer, so it's not really for me. It's just that the VCR is not only common, but widely available. PVR, DVR, and TiVo are a little less so.
Which reminds me. I need to archive my Raws and SD!s.

And in fairness, more people go out fridays than saturdays. It's still not a great night, but it's probably less awkward than Smackdown on Fridays.

What do you want TNA to say to Spike?, no?
Get real. They need to earn a better spot.

Also, Adult Swim is doing great on Saturday nights. (A while there, Saturdays actually drew better than Sunday nights.) If you figure Adult Swim and wrestling cross into the similar demographic of young preteen to college males, then the 10:00 pm time slot may not be a bad deal. Watch wrestling for an hour, then switch over for cartoons.
That's what I'm probably going to end up doing, anyway.

With the ratings they were pulling in on that sweet 4 PM spot, they are definitely in a position to hold out.

Well now TNA has to wait till October which sucks. Then again, I wonder if their deal doesn't restrict them to sign with another channel as well. Maybe they're still looking for a prime time deal during the week, and using the Sat night hour for either their main show (backup) or a re-cap/2nd show.

They opted not to pick it up again.

Lol. thats a dam shame. I think Fox might have thought it was more than it really was. They even had a little clock timer in the corner of the screen for each match... lol.
