View Full Version : Your choice for fourth/fifth draft pick and/or trades

In my opinion, the fourth and fifth draft picks for SD! should be:

- Shelton Benjamin: he is ratings in the bank and this can completely rejuvinate the lost U.S. title division... Haas vs. Benjamin = money and it doesn't look like they are planning to send Haas to RAW... This lets Haas/Holly act as a temporary team for now...

- Triple H: has done way too much on RAW and it's time for Angle to be the main heel... He can do a lot for SD! with feuds against people like Taker, Benoit, Mysterio, RVD and Booker T, although it has all been said and done... He wins the title at HIAC and gets drafted, thus sending the World title to SD!...

In my opinion, the fourth and fifth draft picks for RAW should be:

- Big Show: done on SD!... Feuds with Edge, Kane, Christian, etc could be in his future... This could also resurrect the Carlito feud...

- Heidenreich: Reich/Snitsky = money...

TRADES:

MNM for Hurricane/Rosey/Kiebler

- allows for the World titles to go to SD! and the WWE titles to go to RAW... MNM could do good for the RAW tag division, whereas this trade will allow Hurricane to get back into the cruiserweight scene on SD! at any time...

Tajiri for Matt Morgan

- sends Carlito's bodyguard to RAW to continue his stint in his current role while sending Tajiri to the cruiserweight division where he belongs to have fantastic matches with the likes of London, Chavo, Kidman, Juvi, Psicosis, Super Crazy, Nunzio, Akio and Rey Mysterio...

I'd prefer Haas on Smackdown, to get him away from Hardcore Holly as Holly's holding him back. But as long as they feud I don't care.

I agree that Takiri should be traded for Morgan, Morgan and Carlito were making a good team. Also Tajiri is a cruiserweight and is useless on Raw.

My Smackdown Trades:

Heidenreich for Shelton Benjamin.
Big Show for Christian.

My Raw Trades:

(If Shelton is not traded) Snitsky for Charlie Haas.
Tajiri for Matt Morgan.

HHH NEEDS to go to Smackdown

Hurricane for Rey (since he kinda broke free from the cruiserweight level a while back anyway.)

Jericho for Heidenreich (To fill out Smackdown's roster a bit... too many heels on Raw as is.)

Hurricane to Smackdown and drop the Hurricane gimmick and go back to being "Sugar" Shane Helms, time for the former WCW cruiserweight champ to show what he can do!

HHH NEEDS to go to Smackdown

I'd rather see 'Tista win the HIAC, then move to SD with the title, but it makes much more sense to send HHH. C'mon, what major heel is gonna challenge Batista? We've got a 6-man match next week, featuring the top SD talent, and of the two heels involved, only one is even a regular main-eventer! Eddie could make Big Dave look like a million bucks in the ring, and his natural heelish charisma would match well with Batista's cool, collected and "natural" character (whereas HHH's character is over-the-top and usually cliche, which drew Bats in that direction, too); but who wants to see the Eddie/Rey feud end? Randy has history with the big guy, but he's currently dancing with Taker.

HHH can immediately leap into feuds with any combination of Benoit (history!), Booker (history!), or an untraded Show (though I think Show's moving), or, if Eddie/Rey does end, it might be fresh and interesting to see HHH/Rey for the title (maybe even a HHH/Eddie/Rey three-way feud, somehow?).

I think it's a safe bet that a title's coming over to SD, and that next week's match will be downgraded to a #1 contender's match. Picks other than HHH? A babyface cruiser to SD (Tajiri sounds good, because he works a slightly different cruiser style than the luchadores); Show and either Holly or Haas balances the SD picks by sending over a main eventer and midcarder, and also does the whole "splitting up a tag-team" thing again.

Somehow, Jericho gets traded to SD (Highlight Reel/Cabana switch - dat's cool); I'll say Carlito finagles a trade for Morgan. It'd be perfectly in character for Carlito to act big by getting Jericho and his rival interview segment removed, while also humbling himself a bit by begging for his bodyguard back. Possibly a Hurricane/Rosey-Bashams trade? Might as well trade some divas, too. Get the useful ones on Raw, with the title, and the eye candy on SD.

A trade I'd like to see - the RAW Diva search for SD's awful UPN sitcoms commercials. I'm not sure which makes me roll my eyes more.

In the end, Cena stays on Raw, feuds with Christian in the short term, then Batista sometime in the future (Rumble finish - history!). HHH keeps "his" title when he moves to SD, but finds it harder to hold onto it when surrounded by strong upper-card and main event faces, without his cronies around, and with a neutral/face GM. CW division explodes on SD. The brands take some time to reassert their personalities as it becomes more difficult to tell them apart.

Hassan wins US championship; Carlito either gets a nice, long run with the IC championship, or (if he doesn't get Morgan to protect him) goes into one of those fantastic constant-title-switching feuds with someone like Benjamin.

Gosh, what a long post. If I keep this up, I may become the next Alienoid06. :p

You know, I wouldn't be surprised if SmackDown would be getting Snisky and the Masterbore and RAW get Eddie and Big Show at this point, with no move of any title. Why? Because apparently, Vince still thinks RAW should be viewed as their flagship show.

NOTE TO VINCE: RAW hasn't been a "flagship show" in two YEARS, in my opinion. Hell, the WWE hasn't recieved such a boom since 98-99.

I got a mention!

I have a feeling that Batista will end up on SD!, but that just seems a far too anti-climatic to bring a title about on SD!. Here's how I'd handle the rest of the draft:

-The Big Show, Booker T & Sharmell go to RAW.
-Shawn Michaels, Edge & Lita go to SD!.

You have the WWE Championship, World Heavyweight Championship and WWE Intercontinental Championship all remain seperate singles titles on RAW. Triple H, Chris Jericho, John Cena & Christian all compete for the WWE Title. Kurt Angle, Kane, Batista & Gene Snitsky all challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship. Carlito Caribbean Cool, Shelton Benjamin, Val Venis, etc. all challenge for the IC Championship. These are not set in stone, but it is just a general description of where the alliances and rivalries lie. As a challenger for the World Heavyweight Title, Kurt Angle and Batista would despite each other. However, even though they have had their rivalries, Kurt Angle & John Cena may team up occasionally to fight their respective foes. Basically have it open warfare for the titles, with each and every man trying to take one of the belts for themselves.

On SmackDown!, you establish more of single Championship. Just call it the "SmackDown! Championship" and have the US Title play second-role, or have it dissolved into the bigger belt. So here are how the divisions could end up looking like:

WWE Championship Division (RAW)
John Cena
Triple H
Chris Jericho
Christian
The Big Show

World Heavywight Championship Division (RAW)
Batista
Kurt Angle
Gene Snitsky
Kane
Booker T

WWE Intercontinental Championship Division (RAW)
Carlito Caribbean Cool
Shelton Benjamin
Chris Masters
Val Venis
Steven Richards
Viscera
Sylvain Grenier

SmackDown! Championship (SD!)
Shawn Michaels
Marty Jannetty (as a heel out for blood against HBK)
Chris Benoit
Edge
Matt Hardy (if they rehire him)
The Undertaker
Randy Orton
Eddie Guerrero
Rey Mysterio
Rob Van Dam

WWE United States Championship Division (SD!)
JBL (as America's proud defender)
Muhammad Hassan
Orlando Jordan
Matt Morgan
Rene Dupree
Kenzo Suzuki
Heidenreich
Mark Jindrak
Rob Conway

This sort of gives each brand its own identity. I'm not too sure if this would workoutin the long-run, but if it doesn't, just have Edge use his Money in the Bank Title Shot to beat Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship, taking the belt over to SD!, possibly leading to him unifying it with Shawn Michaels' title.

For some reason, this "SmackDown Championship" deal is not going to sit right with me, with two main event titles on RAW, assuming this stays they way it is now. They need to get one of those two titles off of RAW, because that would just be like Vince ASKING for cataclysim in the WWE, and what will happen to the buyrates for the SmackDown PPVs?

Why in the blue hell would they have three singles titles on Raw? Quite ridiculous really. They just HAVE to ship one of the titles back to Smackdown, no need to create some stupid new title and break tradition.

This is the WWE, though. Anything that Vince can do that would cause you to say "What the fuck?" or "Has he lost his fucking mind," he will do in a heartbeat.

Raw:

Matt Morgan - to be Carlito's stiff
Charlie Haas - to reform the World's Greatest Tag-team

SmackDown!:

Chris Jericho - because he's going no where on Raw
Tajiri - is also going no where on Raw

If "going nowhere" is a criteria why don't you ship half of RAW over to SD! then?

I still think Batista is headed to SD as World Champ.

There's a rumour that Eugene is going to SD as well. That would make sense as Heidy needs a friend (ie tag partner). However, I could also just see him showing up on SD and they say that Bisch didn't renew his contract.

I figure one of Jericho or Christian is SD bound as well.

I think Eddie or Rey will end up on RAW. They were building up that the Eddie-Rey program is over, so its hard to imagine how they would stay away from each other if they are both on the same show. My guess is one of them is going to RAW. I'm kinda leaning towards Rey right now, especially if Batista is going to SD, which would open up a babyface spot on RAW.

I also think Haas should go to RAW. With Angle building a relationship with Bischoff, they could bring back Haas as another Bischoff kiss ass, and then do Haas-Benjamin, or maybe turn Benjamin heel, and let them have another run at the tag division.

The other guy I could see going is Big Show.
