Jeff Jarrett did not wrestle or take part in the main event at TNA's third anniversary PPV, Slammiversary, this past Sunday in Orlando. Although Jarrett was heavily advertised to take part in the match along with AJ Styles, Sean Waltman, Abyss & Monty Brown, Jarrett made the decision to bow out of the match voluntarily. Raven was instead added to the match during the pre-show. According to reports, Jarrett was upset that he wasn't being booked by the new writing committee in TNA to win back the NWA World Title on Sunday. Jarrett reportedly felt that it would have been damaging to his character to not win the match after putting himself over as the "King of the Mountain" all year in TNA. Dixie Carter was said to have stood her ground regarding the decision and would not allow a change in the match to take place to give Jarrett the win. After this took place, many in TNA aren't expecting "smooth sailing" to take place between the Jarrett's and Carter family in the next few weeks as the struggle for power continues in the company.

Good, I hope the Carter family takes full control of whatever the fuck else is left and the Jarretts can fuck off.
Boo fucking hoo. Even Triple H isn't that much of a baby...
Too bad Triple H didn't do this at WrestleMania, though... :shifty:

You work so hard to create an entire company to be built around you, and then some fuck-o comes waltzing in there and tries to do what's best for the company and the business instead of suport just one person...god I feel so sorry for Jarrett.

I mean he still is the guy that lost to Chyna in a kitchen match.

I don't know...I mean Jarrett didn't hold the WCW title since July 9, 2000 (when Booker T won it the first time) and that was almost a year before it went under. After all in between Jarrett holding the title and the company going under, Nash won it, Russo won it, Booker won it 4 times, Steiner won it. Plus this was during the Magnificent Secen era which Jarrett was made to look like a joke through. While there is no question that before Jarrett's first reign, 3.0 and above ratings where about an every other week event, and after Jeff's win it only passed the 3.0 mark half a dozen times or so, STILL I would put more stock in the idea that Vince Russo was killing WCW much more then Jarrett's title reigns. No I don't think Jarrett is a huge draw, but I don't think that he is to blame for the death of WCW either. I think it was more a matter of bad timming and terrible booking.

But as for the death of TNA...yeah that tally mark goes to Jarrett.

So who's gonna be the lucky guy to marry Dixi Carter? And if she is already married, I say we kill that bastard and get her a real man.

LMFAO, what a buttmunch.
TNA fans were tired of seeing that bumwipe as champ. His gimmick, music, everything in TNA sucks. If he were a shade of his kickass WCW persona, maybe. But that generic Tennessee heel he plays just is awful...

WCW Jarrett > TNA Jarrett >>>>>>>>>>>>> Vince Russo in WCW
Vince Russo is responsible for a lot of what made the last days of WCW suck.

I dunno, I have a hard time believing that he'd be that much of a pussy. He was probably hurt.
Yeah that's my assumption too. I'm sure he tried to edge his way into winning the title back, but he probably dropped out cause he was hurt.
