So 5 wrestlers and a Diva....

Actually I'd love to see Shannon Moore in ROH, same with Yun. The change really helped James Gibson (Jamie Knoble)

Well, I can look forward to seeing Akio back on the puro scene at least. Still don't know if Ultimo is still employed. Would be a shame if they let him go now that they have all his old wcw rivals in one pkace.

haha, yeah, none of them are really big losses seeing as how they weren't used in any good way whatsoever. No biggie.

Next cuts should involve all the wrestlers who cannot wrestle. Tomko would be prime.

I know when Vince called a meeting last week or so, he said guys who haven't gotten over are on the chopping block.

This leads me to one question, WHEN THE HELL WERE ANY OF THESE GUYS LAST ON A MAIN SHOW WITH A PUSH?!

WWE rejects going to TNA will be great. TNA's got to undertsand what the hell to do with thier homegrown talent first.

Oh goody. Maybe they can rhash some MROE outdated ideas. I bet they could reform DX and the nWo while they're at it.

both ecw and wwe got wcw rejects and made stars of them for a wrestler you ether have it or you don't kidman and moore have it but vince does not know what to do with crusierweights.

Aren't they trying to do the whole DX thing already with the Outlaw and the Road Dogg and the grease rat. Just taking thier time with it.

Loose Cannon

Austin, Foley, Pillman, Benoit, Jericho, Guerrero weren't rejects though. They were over in WCW and were names. All those guys have been jobbed out a millions times, that fans will see them as losers.

Look at guys like Saturn when he came to WWE. Nobody cared cause he sucked at the end of his WCW run

You know who else got rejects from other feds?

EVERY OTHER PROMOTION ON THE FACE OF THE FUCKING EARTH.

That proves fuck all, especially in a promotion that can't use its OWN talent.

They killed their CW division!!! :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Remember when the WWE/F never even had a cruiserweight division?

But yeah, they definitly killed it. Akio and Kidman are two great cruisweights and could wrestle anyway.

Gangrel...ok.....

Don't know why everyone thought Maven was going to be the news for tommorow. He had good mic skills, but he wasn't important.

They should have kept Mark Jindrak. He could have teamed with Garrison Cade :(

Loose Cannon

I think the only guy that has potential to be a "somebody" in TNA is Kidman.

I'm surprised at Kidman, Moore and Maven... Even though they weren't doing shit, I didn't expect them to be released.

The CyNick
07-05-2005, 08:29 PM
Really, none of those guys are any kind of a loss.

The Mexicools basically replace Akio, Kidman and Morre in the CW division.

Maven wans't going anywhere, and I'm a little suprised he's last this long in the WWE.

Gangrel wasn't on TV and Jindrak has not real potential.

What exactly was the point of trading Jindrak to RAW if he's never even going to wrestle there?

exactly.

Jindrak: wow vince, you must think i have some real talent to send me over to RAW like this. So who is my first match going to be against? HHH? HBK? Cena?

Vince: sorry but your first match is going to be against the unemployment line because, YOU'RE FIRED!!!!

No big losses. Kinda surprised about Kidman, cuz he's married to Torrie, and Jindrak. The Jindrak/Reigns/Angle trio I think helped him out in terms of recognition but after that he went back to doing shit.

Maven is interesting since he's their first T.E. winner, but oh well.

Moore and Akio were never doing anything and I was unaware Gangrel even had a contract.

07-05-2005, 11:02 PM
Next to go will be the Mexicools because they've failed to get over on TV. Then Paul London because he's not wearing the coat they bought for him. Then Funaki because they want everyone to forget that he's Smackdown's #1 announcer. And then...is there actually anyone left in the cruserweight division after that?

Oh, and I suppose that Victoria will be let go as well. And while they're at it, they may as well dump Trish Stratus. I mean, what good is a women's wrestler if they don't want to pose for playboy? Yeah, that's some deep sarcasm there.

Seriously though, I've been a huge Kidman fan since his WCW days, and it's rather sad to see him get shoved out the door. Especially after that great heel turn he did against London (that was, in typical WWE fasion, never resolved), and that win over Hulk Hogan has gone to complete and total waste. Sad, really.

Anyhoo. I've rambled on enough about this bout of stupidity. Considering this is my first post and all.

Mr. JL
07-05-2005, 11:53 PM
The Kidman/London feud was amazing. I think if I remember correctly Paul Heyman had the book then, because I really enjoyed the No Mercy 2004 PPV. But shortly after that Heyman was relieved of his booking/writing whatever spot he had and just nothing was ever resolved, and I forgot Billy Kidman entirely. Billy's heel turn was pretty awesome too. I loved it all the way. He played it out so well.

There is no good excuse for the reasons why Akio and Shannon Moore have been released other than bad writing and bad booking.

Never really cared about either Maven or Jindrak.

RP
07-06-2005, 12:23 AM
Jindrak and O'Haire were the shit. Sucks they never amounted to anything. I was at smackdown when that reflection of perfection gimmick started. I loved it honestly. I thought it was taking from the Narcicist gimmick Lex Luger once had , but FUCK LEX LUGER! They could have used Jindrak. I'm somewhat surprised they released him over some stupid Diva's.

I wont miss Kidman much. Should have never cut the hair.

I might miss Akio. I might not. I like the Mexicanos

Shannon Moore sucked. Get over it.

Maven wasnt the greatest , but comon ! Did they even try to get him over? Maybe mix in a gimmick change or something. I mean if you can get Orlando Jordan over with the United states Championship , you can get Maven the fuck over. They didnt even try. Thats sad really. I have a feeling Maven will be back with the company some day. He's got potential.

Gangrel. Look, I may be the only person that feels this way , but i think Gangrel has always sucked ass. If Gangrel hung Lita on the top of the titon tron by her big flabby gorrilla titties, I still wouldnt give a shit. See ya Gangrel

Sad to hear about the releases, but I think most of them will be fine. Akjowill probably go to ROH or over to NJPW, Kidman, Gangrel and Moore will get a few bookings around the US and possibly overseas and I can see Jindrak teaming up with O'Haire on the independents.

Maven, I hate to say, I have a feeling that he's going to disappear.

I'm only really shocked about Kidman, he's Torrie's husband, I wonder how she feels about this.

This really doesn't suck as bad as I thought it might. Some of the names released were definately meh in terms of star credibility, its only now they've been let go that people have even started to care. I never saw a Jindrak appreciate thread here, but as soon as he's been chopped then everyone's wiping a fucking tear.

Kidman and Akio will become martyrs for the cancer infected cruiser division. It's a dam shame because Akio's battles with London on Velocity were probably the best series of wrestling matches I've seen anywhere, for a long time.

Eunos
07-06-2005, 04:41 AM
Mark Jindrak - Truth be told this one doesnt really bother me that much. He was really nothing special. But like Loopy said, Why trade him to raw just to release him straight away?. You could have atleast traded somebody your planning on actually keeping.

Maven - Well it seems he no longer has his prize of a WWE contract. Tough Enough 1 is now no more (Unless you count Josh Matthews). I for one think it's quite ashame to be honest. His heel turn was starting to show charisma till WWE decided they werent interestedin pushing him. Ah well i guess it's back to normality for Maven.

Akio - :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( .. This is the saddest of all the releases. This guy put on awesome matches with Paul London on Velocity. Damn you WWE

Shannon Moore - I guess we saw this one coming from miles away. Sorry Shannon but it was obvious your time was running out.

Gangrel - Didnt even know he was in WWE still. Ah well.

Billy Kidman - Somewhat of a suprise being married to Torrie in all. That's really the only reason his lasted as long as he has. None the less i can see him in TNA.

and yet..Holly remains with the company :foc:

Shadow

So these 8 have been released....and Holly hasn't.....

So Holly was better at anal sex than these 8? That doesn't make sense!

NoRoolz

8?

I'm surprised at Kidman's, Maven's and Gangrel's releases. Like someone said - what is the point of re-hiring Gangrel just to fire him again, I was looking forward to his re-debut.

I'm pretty pissed about Akio and Moore's releases, very pissed in fact. However I think that neither of these will have trouble getting ROH or TNA contracts (as with Kidman and Maven). Gangrel will probably go back to what he was doing before he got re-signed - just taking indy bookings across the country.

I guess this rules out the Masters/Jindrak tag-team then :(.

Also I read somewhere that there was meant to be 5-10 cuts made, so there could be a few more yet :-\.

Mordecai and Gangrel were back in the WWE? News to me...they truly won't be missed.

Akio was fucking awesome!

Shannon was under-used.

Jindrak was under-rated.

Spike was over-rated.

Maven was fucking boring.

and Kidman was one of my favorite wrestlers.

It's a shame at the end of the day that these guys have lost their jobs whilst some more 'divas' will get jobs with no talent.

Most sad about Akio, his feud with London was awesome but maybe this is better for his career. I'm not sure.
The others don't really suprise me, I just laughed at the fact that Jindrak was in the trade. Would have been cool to see him in team with Masters.

Probably the only reason why Vince dropped Shannon was because of the accident he was in and couldn't wrestle too much, and plus Vince probably mixed Shannon up with a girl. I say that in the next few months, they're gonna have a new diva named Shannon.

Did they try to get him over? Yes, remember Survivor Series 04 where he was in the main event and the whole "the inmates are running the asylum" thing? Maven even main evented a Raw against HHH for the Heavyweight Title. For nearly two months Maven was presented to us as an upper midcard and he got little to no reaction from the fans. They tried. Maven just wasn't anything the fans wanted see. Then they even tried doing this heel turn with him and still the fans could care less.

And I wouldn't call Orlando Jordan over with the US Title. Just because they put the belt on him doesn't mean he's over.
