Fucking right! Kudos to Stevie Richards for uniting Bradshaw's head with the business end of a steel chair.
On a similar note: Does anyone else find it extremely creepy or just plain weird that WWE is paying more and more attention to the Internet as a source of storyline ideas? It's like they're doing what Vince Russo did, except doing it right. I don't know how well-known the JBL/Meanie incident is to the average fan, but I personally think it's very interesting how they're finally revealing the fact that wrestling is a work and shit goes down behind the scenes...and they're starting to publicize it. It's just...weird, because in the 15+ years I've been watching wrestling, that's never happened. And I know WCW did it toward the end of its life, but this feels different somehow, like they're taking the Internet seriously, while Russo made himself and the company look like morons.
Anyway...yeah. :)

Gonna have to call Richards stupid. It wasn't his fight to fight.... If this isn't all some sort of work.

I think we're entering the realm of workshoots and shootworks... incidents that not even WE can tell if they're works or shoots or whatever. Did Stevie really take matters into his own hands when he whacked JBL with the chair? Or was it a work to get US talking?
Man, my head hurts. DAMN YOU, WWE!!!

IT probably is a work. But if it's not, I have mixed feelings.
One the one hand, who hasn't wanted to get revenge on some cocksmoker, or even take down a bully a couple of pegs?
On the other hand, taking matters into your own hands usually is a bad idea. Especially with a bully. You make take him down a peg, but he'll take it out on you, Meanie, and any newbie or smaller guy. That's why they're bullies, people. Bullies'll keep going against people, even if someone bigger than them takes 'em down once or twice. They just pick on the weaker ones.
I kinda wanna laugh at JBL getting hurt, but two wrongs don't make a right, even if the guy "deserved" it.

Well, I've been advocating blurring the line between kayfabe and reality for a while. Make it so it's hard to tell what's real and what's fake... that increases intrigue. They're finally using the net to its advantage. Instead of calling us fat 12 year old nerds in our momma's basements, they're using backstage buzz to generate online buzz. I mean, this whole Matt/Edge thing had a lot of people thinking it was a work, but it was real. And bWo/JBL? Perhaps the opposite (even tho both were spawned by real events).
I think it's a great thing. Like Marcyo said... smarks are happy, marks are entertained anyway. So why not? You embrace technology and utilize it. You don't fear it and scorn it.
Hopefully, they've finally figure it out, and the recent good quality of shows overall will continue. :y:
Gotta be a work-shoot (shoot-work?). JBL is Vince McMahon's left hand man - a guy who's been with the company for a long time and has actually become a decent main eventer. If Stevie had actually taken liberties for Blue Meanie on Smackdown, not only would it probably have been cut from the live showing, but Richards would be on that list of people who were just released.

I think it's fantastic. I'm glad the WWE is trying harder to appeal to their "other fanbase" (internet fans). It's working pretty well at this point :)

The smarks or internet fanbase is really only a small percentile compared to the amount of casual watchers.

The only evidence of this being several years old, and the fanbase having changed, not to mention the advances in the prevalence of the internet, I'ma call bullshit (Like I always do).
You cann;t definitely state that, and be any more accurate than the statement that it's their " actual fanbase."

Bad workers!? Damn right Chris Masters Doesn't have a clue what he's supposed to be doing out there. This is probably because his I.Q is that of a brick.

Bad workers was an intentional understatement.
I love how they worry about professionals working too stiff, then let this guy work more recklessly than RVD could ever do...No matter what kinda shit he was sparking before he came out.

No argument from me.
Then again, if the WWE offered me a contract to wrestle Monday Night, I wouldn't go "I don't think my fat ass is professional enough." I'd be more like "Who do I squash?"

Unfortunately it would probably be more like:
VINCE: Tonight you debut in a three on one handicap match against Triple H, Hulk Hogan and the Undertaker.
KANE KNIGHT: The Undertaker's on Smackdown.
VINCE: Right now you're in a transexual angle. Anything else to say smart guy?

Has anyone seen the exclusive video on WWE.com? They show JBL leaving... They get some good shots of the top of his head... It looks fucking sick as hell.... Granted he's a dick and may have deserved it, I felt sorta bad for him after seeing it.

If Stevie had legitimately busted the head of one of Vince's favourite wrestlers open with a unplanned potato, then he'd not only be fired, but he'd be face down in the pool at Titan Towers.

the chair shot, was accidental but they took full advantage of it. I don't think foley would agree to take a shot like that. I think the WHOLE thing, from the beginning, was a work for the "new" wwe. Paul Heyman is a work-shoot genious. look at the survivor series "you stole my life" interview from the invasion angle. I thought Paul was serious until he said "this sunday" then I was pissed.
That's because Paul Heyman is a god.
