I recently downloaded an xvid encoded video file( nba.finals.1998.bulls-jazz.game6.xvid-bbv.avi). However, when I go to play the file it does not play at all. I do not know why this is happening since I have the xvid codec installed and everything. I downloaded GSpot Codec Information Appliance and it said I had all the codecs to play the file correctly. Yet, the file is not playing at all when I try it in windows media player 6.4 and 9 and in VLC player. Any reason as to why this would occur ( and yes the download is fully complete). IS there a way/program to check if the video file itself has any errors at all?
Thanks in advance
