SummerSlam
WWE Heavyweight Championship
John Cena (champion) vs. Chris Jericho
- Glad to see Jericho finally getting a title match after years of pointless direction... I know he won't win the belt and I don't really know if he should at this point... Both guys will likely work a good match and I don't mind these two guys headlining SS...
World Heavyweight Championship
Batista (champion) vs. Muhammad Hassan
- Not exactly what I want to see, but I think they may be heading into that direction with the #1 contender's match at GAB... Hassan is over, however he is not a legitimate contender for the belt and this match is SD!-quality at this point in both guys' careers... I'd rather see Brock-Batista, however I can see something like that being saved for a big feud down the road...
Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship
Carlito (champion) vs. Rob Van Dam
- If RVD is back from injury, this is a realistic match to have and the match is sure to be very good... I can see both these guys having a quality program considering the growing popularity of Carlito and the ongoing popularity of RVD after his promo at ONS...
United States Heavyweight Championship
Chris Benoit (champion) vs. Christian
- Quality midcard feud between two main event caliber wrestlers that are sure to put on a very good match... Either guy can win, I don't even mind...
WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Paul London (champion) vs. Juventud
- Why not put the cruiserweights on PPV if you hire guys like Crazy, Psicosis and Juventud... This could be a very good match... Put the title on Juvi and let Mexicools disband down the road so they can put on some matches with one another... Add a little Rey to the mix with guys like Kazarian, London and Nunzio and you have a legitimate cruiserweight division... Too bad Tajiri is suffering on RAW, however it is time for Kerwin White to move on to bigger and better things...
Special Attraction Grudge Match
Shawn Michaels vs. Hulk Hogan
- Clearly put HBK over here, however I can see Hogan winning... Either way, both have had quite a legacy and this is somewhat of a dream match... The biggest superstars from the 80's and 90's respectively at SummerSlam 2005...
Grudge Match - WrestleMania Rematch
Randy Orton vs. The UnderTaker
- Put Orton over here although I know it won't be cleanly... Orton needs a big win coming off his injury and his program with Taker can turn out pretty good... I'd let them go about 15 minutes and if their match is similar to their WrestleMania outing, it can be pretty good...
Feud Culminating Grudge Match
Eddie Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio
- I'd put Guerrero over in some sort of heel-ish fashion in a solid outing that could go about 15 minutes... These two have had quite a feud and SummerSlam is a good stage to end it and let both move on with new programs...
Grudge Match
Edge vs. Matt Hardy
- This could be a good place to cash out on these two guys in their life story moving to the ring... I'm not as enthusiastic about this whole thing as everyone else and I don't think Matt Hardy is godly, however it makes sense to have this match and cash out on both guys and their popularity...
Grudge Match
Kurt Angle vs. Shelton Benjamin
- This is money in the bank and a candidate for match of the year if you let these guys go... 'Nuff said...
10-Man Tag-Team Grudge Match
JBL, Orlando Jordan, Doug Basham & MNM vs. Booker T, William Regal, Heidenreich, Stevie Richards & Nova
- Have this as the opening match with a lot of fun talent and a lot of guys that are extremely over... Have the face team win with interference from the Blue Meanie... Good way to get a lot of talent on PPV that can get a good reaction out of the crowd... JBL & bWo = money... JBL's promos are godly...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, I realize there is 11 matches, however this card isn't the most realistic since I tried to get a lot of guys on the card...
Depending on how guys like William Regal, Danny Basham, Kerwin White, Tajiri, Rob Conway and Rene Dupree are booked, we may soon see these guys on PPV...
Kane and Big Show aren't really doing much right now and hopefully something new can be found for these guys...
