Where do you think they are going with this? They have used him 3 times now and twice recently, Angle doesn't have a match at Summerslam as of yet, can you see Matt <s>Martel</s> <s>Striker</s> <s>Martel</s> Whatever getting a cheap upset on him?

He could keep showing up at each invitational and get his ass beat, till he gets a fluke win, he's be like Mickey Whipwreck used to be, I think it could work

If we were to have a Martel in the WWE I would much prefer it to be Rick Martel. Having him manage Rene Dupree and teach him how to be a real "French Phenom" would be awesomeness. Of course I'm a die hard Martel fan from his time wrestling out of Montreal so I may be a tad biased.

They just luckily fell into this Striker angle. This proves that they didn't know where they were going with the angle in the first place.

I wish some-damn-body would win the Kurt Angle Invitational. I don't know 'bout y'all, but I'm sick of that shit. It's always so predictable. The guy gives Kurt a run for his money then Kurt wins with either the Ankle Lock or the Angle Slam. Sure it gives a local indy wrestler a chance to wrestle on TV but damn it's been going on for months now with the same outcome everytime. I was hoping Striker was gonna win it this past week on RAW but it didn't happen. I think it'd be great if he won though. He seems like a good worker and all and he has done the Invitational 3 times already. So surely they're working up to something. But if he does win it I would assume WWE signed him. But I wouldn't doubt it considering all the exposure he's gotten in the media and you know WWE, any publicity is good publicity.

I think it's be freakin sweet is the match got down to about 30 seconds and Angle locks on the ankle lock. Angle keeps wrenching but Martell just endures the pain. It gets down to the last 5 seconds or so and Angle gives a hard wrench and "breaks" his ankle. Martell still doesn't tap and wins the match. So it shows that "he wanted a chance so bad that he would've rather broken his ankle to submit". So then he comes out on crutches and shit for a number of weeks with Angles medals.

I can't see that working, considering that the last two times he has been in the Ankle Lock, he tapped out almost before Angle had applied it.

Matt Striker is getting pretty over. Keep him coming, and eventually have him outlast Angle. The only other guy that's gotten me exicted in the Invitational is Roderick Strong.

Personally, I'd have him eventually beg Angle for another chance. He obviously has the passion since he moonlit teaching to go and wrestle. Angle then says he has the passion, but he doesn't have the "Three I's". Angle besta Striker again, but the next week things are different, as Striker is now intense, and using his head more. He lasts the 3-minutes, which pisses off Angle. Striker avoids a beat-down, and the next week he calls out Kurt Angle. Angle looks pissed but Striker tells him to calm down. Striker gets on one knee and offers the medals back to Angle. Striker says Kurt is right, and that he doesn't have the Three I's. Striker begs Angle to take him as his student.

You either have Angle accept, and Striker gets a solid run as a mid-carded under Angle, or you have Angle cheap shot Striker, beat him down, take the medals, but have Striker claim that since he won the Angle Invitation, he has legal rights to them. You then have a full-fledged feud between the two.

BTW, who would mark-out for Matt Striker joninig up with Matt Hardy as his new MFer? Granted, Hardy has apparently moved on from the gimmick, but I would rather see Hardy embrace his cocky character once more, simply because his badass one doesn't seem to suit him much.
