Credit: PWInsider.com Elite News Hotline

- SmackDown! workers have stated that Christian is very aware that the proverbial rug has been pulled from under him by WWE.

- Christian was said to be very happy a few months back when it seemed WWE would be pushing him as a main-eventer, however his feelings have now changed and while he isn't being a bad employee over it, he is said to be upset at how things have turned out.

- Christian was of course cleanly pinned in his first match on SmackDown! and lost to Booker T at the Great American Bash this past Sunday when the 5-time WCW champion had no momentum going into the match.

- On SmackDown! worker stated that Christian is just "one of them now" after realizing his push is going nowhere.

Obviously they didn't hear the "let's go Christian" chants at GAB. Or furthermore any of the pops he gets.

First Hassan's gone and now no push for the captain, that's depressing.

Man its been a while since i posted, but i like to have a good idea (or at least close to it) before i post.

I was just thinking, what if the workers that are tired of the creative team just decide threaten to ask for their release? Now i really dont know the kind of contracts they have in the WWE, so if someone can educate me, please do. But if they could at any time ask to be released, people like Booker, Christian, Y2J, Benoit, RVD, and pretty much anyone else who is talented (imo) and holds the company togather, but hasn't had a decent legit push in awhile and is tried of it. Imagine if all these superstars just decided to go else where, i realize that some have families to feed, but they could make just as good money else where in Europe and Japan if they are a big name.
Or.........

With this new "trend" of WWE using the internet and bringing up "shoot" type situations (JBL being a bully, released talent, Hardy) why not do a story line of these superstars on both shows going on "strike". Have them "break character" and start off by...does anyone remember when Buff Bagwell did the "not doing the JOB for anyone" where he was supposed to lose but would pin the guy any way thing, back when Russo first started...well anyway start off like that with a guy like Christian or Benoit and then just slowly add members till.....F'N RVD shows up when hes healed and leads the charge in a "Worked Strike". But...then again....that would be too entertaining and make way too much sense.

What I don't understand is, if this guy is so fucking over no matter how many times he loses, WHY ISNT WWE MAKING USE OF THIS?! HOLY SHIT, VINCE WILL GET$$$$$$$$$$$.

Oh yeah that's right, we'd rather see a Triple H on all the time.

It's a rather conflicting process the WWE has. They figure that stars like Jericho and Christian who are really over don't need the titles to be draws. Then they have someone like Cena, who while over, isn't really championship material. So of course they feel he needs to be at the top. It's almost as if HHH is back there telling Vince to book all the bad wrestlers as champs just so that he can come in and look good when he wins it back. And...argh. I don't know what to think of them anymore. Someone with a lot of money needs to come along and buy out the WWE just so that Vince (and family) don't have control anymore. Heck, I wouldn't even mind if Microsoft were to buy it up for whatever reason. Just get them out of there.

Y'know, I think the reason Christian is as over as he is...is because he's still a goofy character. When E&C were the best team on the brand, it wasn't only because of their wrestling talents. It was because they were genuinely fun characters. I agree wholeheartedly with the Rock comparisons...because Rock was a fun character. The WWE seems to be trying to push Cena into a Rock-like roll, but he doesn't have the same sense of fun in him. Christian does. And that's why the fans have taken to him. (Meanwhile, Edge has gone completely downhill, since he isn't any fun anymore. And has a cheesy finisher)

Know what would be cool? A second Radical jump - only this time from the WWE to NWA TNA. I'd have Christian, Rob Van Dam, Shane Helms, and Chris Benoit make the move. Imagine how big of an impact these four guys would have on TNA - especially with them getting a national TV deal in the fall.

The thing that really irks me (...did I just say irk?) about Christian's burial as of late is how he never got his chance at the top. I'm a huge Benoit mark and it kills me to see him being enhancement to Orlando Jordan, but at least Benoit got his World Title reign and his moment at Wrestlemania XX. Eddie, went from WM semi main event to WM opener, got his chance and he carried Smackdown in early 2004.

Christian never got his chance. Hell at least Booker got a title match against HHH. Christian was getting over with the crowd, he could come out during a abysmal RAW, cut a two minute promo and save the show. He should be main eventing Summerslam against John Cena, instead of losing his opening night clean on Smackdown!, then losing to a guy who's had nothing going for him in a long time in Booker.

Mark my words right now. They are taking the route of Cena last year with Xtian. As long as Captain Charisma stays cool about this, either a month or two after SS, Xtian will win the US title. They will build him up and then either win the Rumble, or beat someone in a tournament, main event Wrestlemania, and then win the title.

A three year old could write better shows the WWE's creative team. Its funny. I watch my 10 year old cousin play with all his newer wrestling figures. He takes 2 random figures and puts them in this ring he has. I sit back and think. Damn thats intresting. That would be a hell of a match. Then i think about what the creative team is thinking when they write shit. I come to the conclusion that they just arent.

I dont mind JBL at all. I think the road to Summerslam shouls be very entertaining with JBL at the helm. I think its important that they keep JBL as a main focus. The guy is flat out entertaining. The charachter itself is one of the best in recent history.

Theres probably 4 guys Smackdown should have as there MAIN concern. JBL, Christian, Orton and Guerrero. Batista, i'm sorry to say, isnt that entertaining to me. I like him, but i dont think " Wow i gotta see Batista " I really could care less if Batista lost his title on a house show tommorow night or something. I care about the other 4 guys tho and so do alot of other people. If WWE showed as much care about those charachters as the fans do. Smackdown wouldnt be the other show.

Its almost like they want Smackdown to fail.

Londoner
07-27-2005, 05:57 AM
This really sucks. Smackdown got screwed in the draft lottery, and i reckon Batista moving to Smackdown was a really bad move, even though in theory it made sense.Batista looks out of place on smackdown(which i thought he would), and him switching shows hasn't helped Christian much, because realistically, can you really picture Christian beating Batista? Christian will be US champ at most now, sadly.

And thus, the people who deal with ratings will assume you feel they are worth watching, and the WWE changes nothing.

RP... though you're not a fan of Batista, you should keep in mind that casual fans are in fact impressed by size and strength, so Batista is still a pretty good attraction for a lot of fans who occassionally watch WWE programming, or aren't super into it like the hardcore fans.

Might be my pro-Dave bias tho.

As long as you keep whining over the same issues (boohoo the writing's bad, me and 5 million other people with single digit IQs hate the show, but keep watching it) and watch the programming, you will hear the same argument from me. Long as people with actual reasoning skills have to hear you whine about your self-inflicted torture, you will have to read me calling you stupid for it. Why? I already said i never order ppv's because of the exact thing your complaining about plus they're way to high in price to order for the shitty product the WWE is offering us right now.I'm beginning to think its impossible to get this through to your head as ive already said i don't buy ppv's.

Seriously, if you think calling you a whiny little retard gets my blood pressure up, you think way too much of yourself. Words on a screen, boy. I can type all sorts of nasty things and not bat an eyelash.

Yeah, keep trying to defend your idiocy, whine about how I'm attacking you and your fellow rtetards, and then tell me to calm down. I'll keep posting it. If you don't like the way the pgram works, don't watch it. Every single one of the morons who keeps watching what they think is bad programming is saying the same thing, "I'm just one person...I HATE THIS! But I'll keep watching because not watching bad programming won't solve anything."

Good for you. You ensure the system keeps going. Which is good for me, because I enjoy the programming, and don't really care if it changes. I'm fine with the way things are, so it's no skin off my nose either way.

But the fact is, you people whine on a regular basis, reminding us of how stupid you are, because you can't figure out that continuing to watch doesn't help that one good match get featured, it just ensures that the crappy main events continue. It ensures that Eddie will job, and Heidenreich will recite poetry and Melina will pretend she has mic skills (All things that amuse me, so...). It will make sure that the programming you don't like comes on, every week.

And all it will do is further piss you off. So what's the point?

Why act so stupid?

I am not complaining about the programming. I am complaining about you whiners who act like the programming is overall shit. I mean, the quarter-hours drop on a Triple H segment, but if the overall rating is high, people see good ratings. People see good good ratings, they think the show is doing good. The WWE sees good hours, they think they're doing it right. The advertisers see good hours, they think it's worth advertising there. My theory was right, you've completely lost it today. Now you can't take the fact that i am not one of the people you a generalising(sp?)and that makes you look stupid, now you have to come up with 'oh what a weak comeback' line...typical.

Fact is, everything i have said is true. You think i want to sit through 15 mins of the diva search? No. You think i give a shit about Hogan? No.Triple H?No.When stuff like that i've mentioned comes on, i switch over. And then i complain about it because i would prefer not to switch over.Make sense? or are you just going to come up with some smartass comment to make you look good?
No, everything you've said is not true. You're trying to tell me that I "Can't take" something that you claim is not true because you're stupid enough to think that the WWE only makes money from PPVs.

You're coming up with copout ways you're not contributing, but it's all false. You built this entire argumenbt of how you're NOT the problem based on faulty logic that you can conveniently hide behind. And I've explained why the logic is faulty, why PPVs aren't the only source of income, and how little turning off Hogan is going to do to the ratings.

And you still don't get it, and think you're speaking the gospel. Go on, claim I've lost it, live in your little fantasy world where you're not part of the problem, then go whine about the Diva search. I bet the ratings drop during that, and I bet they'll have one next year. Why? Because every idiot out there thinks the same thing you do.

Oh wait i see. Now i've said i switch ovet im retarded, yet all this time you've been telling us to switch over. Great logic. :y:
No, I've been telling you not to watch.

There's a difference. Turn off the program.

But thanks for once again trying to prove just how stupid you are by mindlessly guessing.

Again, the WWE won't care if you turn away from ONE segment. The advertisers won't care if you turn away from ONE segment. In fact, you'll probably come back during their commercial. It's only larger blocks that'll make a difference. Face it, you're still contributing, you're just claiming you're not to feel better about the shitty programming you watch in hopes of that mythical 5 star match.

Speaking of which, I thought you were done with me?

You're too stupid to even end an argument right. It ends with you shutting up if you say you're done with it. There, need help with anything else difficult? Like tying your shoelaces, or finding the off button on your TV?

lol, this was exactly the kinda response i was expecting from you.'everything you said is not true blah blah blah' Face up to it, we will bitch about it if we fucking want to.I told you why i do, and that is true. everything i have said about the way i watch WWE is true. What affect it has i aint really sure, but they ain't getting any money out me personally. That's not faulty logic, that's the truth. My money goes to sky, WWE don't get any of that money.

I already told you some of wwe entertains me, and when it does i praise it. Maybe its best if you get away from the internet for a while and think about what your saying.Incase you haven't noticed, name-calling isn't going to work on me.So stop making yourself look stupid by calling me retarded and stupid..etc.

I carried on because you replied, I don't let the last word go easily until i am really fed up with you, which i am very close to being right now.

Why the fuck would i just not watch the whole programme when there are different parts to it?It's not like a normal programme wher eyou have to watch it all the way through to know whats going on.

And if i used your logic, i would've missed GAB which means i would've missed what i call match of the year between eddie/rey.So like i said, its not about one bit.I did however turn the channel off and go to sleep when the main event came on, that would tell them something.I believe they do care about one segment, depending on what it is.But yeah, this time i am done. I will continue to bitch about it if i feel like it, deal with it. Ever heard of free speech?

The reason we call keep watching...hope. Like the architect guy said in the Matrix, its our biggest strength and our biggest weakness. We hate whats on TV, but remember when it was good, and keep tuning in hoping it will be good again one day.

But it is not this day, and tomorrow ain't looking good either.

Getting back on topic, it's really a shame that Christian probally won't be pushed too hard. Having a strong connection with the crowd doesn't really mean much at all these days. With the exception of Batista and Orton, none of their draft picks are really doing shit. Benoit and Christian don't seem to going nowhere fast, and Hassan is gone. I guess with Hassan gone, Lesnar can step in and take back his spot from JBL.

I don't think we should worry too much, Christian has a long career ahead of him, as long as he keeps the fan reaction up, the writers will notice. They kinda already have, I mean it's not like he's suddenly going to disappear and only wrestle on Velocity, is it? :shifty:

Just saw a promo on TV for a smackdown show in Peterborough and it has Christian vs OJ for the U.S Title on the card.

The question is how much they can De-Push him. Will feuding with OJ kill him? Doubtful.

Not if they give him the title...

I got a feeling they're just building up OJ.That's why they put Benoit to face OJ,to put him OJ over which is why i originally picked OJ to win, don't know why i changed it.But I imagine even though Christian has been buried, they will just use the rep he has left to get OJ over.I'm just pleased to see the US title getting some attention, always liked that title for some reason.
