...Call me crazy, but this might be my third attempt at writing my Live Journal this week. The reason I have had problems? Nothing to write? Come on, you guys no better then that. I can't think of a good subject for the subject line! Nothing came to mind. I need to think of like 5 in a row and then keep them in my wallet for later use!

I hope everyone has had a good weekend. If you live on the East Coast in the States you know that everyday has been about a hundred and hell (Credit CW Anderson for the one-liner). But me and the boys have been "braving" through by hanging out at the swimming pool pretty much everyday.

Thank you to everyone that emailed me and the 01USA site (www.ZEROONEUSA.com (http://www.ZEROONEUSA.com)) with your condolences and thoughts about the death of Shinya Hashimoto. For me, it was pretty sad because Hashimoto gave me my big chance in Japan and was my boss for three and a half years. I really didn't like how his association with ZERO-ONE ended but I guess he had his reasons. Either way I will always think of Hashimoto in a very positive light. No matter what you read about him (i.e. the alleged book he was writing, the widow Fuyuki, etc.)and his last year on this earth, I try to remember the Hashimoto that loved the sport and his guys. That was the Hashimoto I looked upon as a friend, boss, and mentor. Goodbye my friend. You better be in heaven because I still need to get that pinfall win over you!!!

On a totally different note and I know this has nothing to do with me because I don't work for either WWE and/or UPN but I think this whole Hassan thing is pretty F'n stupid. Since when do fans of pro-wrestling confuse sports entertainment (I hate that term but that is what WWE uses) and terrorism? Do we live in that sensitive of a world where the WWE has to bow down to the executives of UPN? Does anyone really think out there that Hassan and Davari make terrorism fashionable? If I looked at the UPN schedule I could no doubt tell you a bunch of things that probably would offend me. I feel bad for Hassan and Davari. Both of these guys have worked very hard and have done a great job of being HEELS. Not the regular tough guy heels, but guys you wanted the American wrestlers to beat up. Does anyone at UPN realize the business that is done with the anti-American wrestling heel? I guess not. I guess they would rather see a real life love triangle turned into a work. Me, I prefer watching just regular heel vs. babyface. Hassan and Davari are great heels and who didn't pop when Hogan came out to wrestle them? I know I did! I hope WWE finds something good for them to do or puts them back on RAW.

OK, off the soap box Steve.

A big thanks to everyone that is watching WORLD-1 Internet TV over at www.WORLD1Wrestling.com (http://www.WORLD1Wrestling.com). We are having a bunch of fun putting it together and the feedback has been great so far. Right now it is a work in progress and I hope that we get better every week. Six months ago I probably would have told you I wanted nothing to do with the promoting/booking/producing side of my own company again but with the small shows we are doing I think it is going ot be a lot of fun. I hope I get to see some SC fans out in NE Philly on August 6.

Well that is it for me for this edition. Its back to MLB 2004 for me. My Phillies are 49-12 but the O's have taken two in a row from me...Yes, I know, its time to get some sort of life Steve! But the boy is outside with his friends and my girl lives far away! Whats a man to do???

Take care everyone

I just figured you'd like to know the feelings of a non-WWE wrestler's opinions on some things.

Again, in accordance with my pro-Hassan posts here on TPWW...
I would have to give the thumbs up to Corino on this one. Though, some of the verbiage is a little off (remember, Hassan is supposed to be an American too), he's absolutely right. Hassan never supported "terrorism" in character. Iraq, the bombings, or anything else terror-related was never brought up by Hassan. UPN really looks like ass because of this...

LOL. Fashionable terrorism. He's dead on. Except for the fact that the WWE DOES need to bow to UPN, but they shouldn't be such fucking cowards.

It's not like the WWE wouldn't be able to get another TV Deal... They're The WWE.

They've been having trouble hammering down a new deal while they have a current one. I'm not so sure...

Why should WWE bow? Its not like anyone actually cares about Smackdown, also cmon UPN isn't gonna give them a deal and put them on Friday nights. I say fuck em

Air TV without Hassan, or air two hours less programming a week.

I wonder which is more profitable.

Couldnt have put it any better.

You think UPN would actually pull the show if they had kept Hassan on?

Hell, if they'd blown this totally into MAINSTREAM media, it could have been even more helpful. People tune in to see what the fuss is.

Which would be great, but since they already made a rtequest against Hassan, your logic gets fucked right there. It's be great business, but evidently the ydidn't want to bite.

The WWE should think about who else might want SmackDown, and do it now. I personally think that they could really make SmackDown the better show if they would just stop fucking around already. And UPN is just adding to this torture.

Also, who was it that said that only UPN could screw SD after the draft lottery now? Why the fuck did that guy jinx it by saying that?

He's evil.

Seriously though, remember when the WWE was dumbing down Smackdown to negotiate with Spike over Raw? Think that has anything to do with their current sitch with UPN? Moved to Friday, the reaction over Hassan, etc.?

Doubtless there would have been some reaction to the Hassan acts, but do you think it would have been this severe?
