Ok, I wanted to ask all you marks or smarks or darks or whatever you wanna be called  DO YOU PREFER HEELS OR FACES?!
For me, it is obvious that heels are far more interesting. Muhammed Hassan is the most interesting wrestler I have ever witnessed...in my entire life
Faces are boring, whose boring antics pander to the retards in the crowd. They make me fall asleep, and there is no better example than that dickhead Cena. That is not an easy thing to do, my marks/smarks, for I have insomnia :foc: All the best wrestlers, ATM, are heels: Hassan  Angle :y: Christian  and Shawn Michaels went from HERO TO ZERO after super-kicking Hogans ugly grandpa head
Faces < Heels.
EDIT: I mean, ZERO to HERO. Apologies.

It depends on the person, If I like them as a wrestler that is all that matters.
But most of the time I like the Heel side of things, because they do what it takes to get the job done.

Okay, first of all, you need to learn the huge difference between marks and smarks. Then, realize that face/heel doesn't matter one bit. We SMARKS usually care about talent and charisma and skill and wrestling ability.

It be unfair to judge someone by alignment alone. Sure, arguably heels are allowed more to be more creative in promos and if done right can be highly entertaining, but without baby faces heels are nothing. You bring up the heel list and yes it is very impressive with Michaels, Angle, Christian, Hassan and others but what about faces like Shelton Benjamin, Chris Benoit, Van Dam (who’s last two promos have been done extremely well), etc. Surely these guys aren’t outright “boring”.
All in all good discussion but as for whether face or heel, I say whatever gets the wrestler over.

And where the hell has RVD been anyway? He gets drafted, cuts an awesome promo, then vanishes. I hope he recovers from his injury soon. :(

Im a heel fan my self....
Back in the day when it was the McMahon and his coporation going up against the likes of Austin I was always pulling for McMahon. Ive also been a bigger fan of Orton and Rock when they are heel. There face characters just suck to much.
Just like you said...Heels are just more interesting

To me, it depends how well they play their role as a heel or a face.

The thing is, today's heels are MUCH more fascinating and interesting and "love-to-hate-able" than heels from, say, the 80's or even 90's. I never rooted for anybody in the 90's and even recently, because I don't have any preference. I watched it for the entertainment value, not because I had a preference in wrestler. Now, however, I find myself rooting (albeit silently) for certain guys. I clapped my hands and yelled "Yes!" when Eugene won the Invitational, because I found it immensely amusing and thought it would make for a great storyline. I really only cheer when exciting or surprising things happen. I marked out (by leaving my mouth open and staring at the screen in shock) when Matt Hardy's music played during the wedding, as it was totally unexpected. But when wrestlers come out to the ring (unless it's a surprise appearance or run-in), then I'm totally silent and indifferent.
That's why I could never go to a live event (and never have since late 1999), because I'd be totally silent and not much fun. :p

Yeah I think it depends on the person like I prefer Jericho as a heel and Brock Lesnar as a face(I dont know why though)

Nowadays to me it seems the Crowd decides who the Heel's and face's are.
back in the 80's and even early 90's it was easy to get the fans to Hate or Love a Wrestler.
These day's it Seems most of the crowd cheers for whomever they want.

It's easier to be a good heel, honestly, which is why so many new guys are heel. If you can be a good face, you're probably more talented than a good heel. However, people on both sides manage to rise head and shoulders above the rest, so, it's a bad measure of who's good.

Mostly because production's asleep at the wheel.

It's not like hiring dumbass writers has anything to do with it... :shifty:

It's not enough to say heel of face - what matters is how heat or approval is achieved. Edge back in the days of E&C was perhaps one of the better heels of that time, and everything about him was entertaining.
Now he's a heel again, but a very different type of heel. Personally, I can't stand him. His matches, his promos, his everything is a huge reason to turn off the tv and go write a book or something.
The days of heels and faces being differentiated on such a simple black&white basis have gone, especially since the rise of the Steve Austin anti-hero angle. It's just not that easy anymore.
