With the non-waiver trade deadline coming on Sunday, it's a frantic time of year around major league baseball.

1. Yankees acquire CF Ken Griffey Jr. from Reds

2. Mets acquire 1B Richie Sexson from Mariners

3. White Sox acquire SS Julio Lugo from Devil Rays

4. Astros acquire OF Moises Alou from Giants

5. Twins acquire 2B Jeff Kent from Dodgers

(I won't post the news sights reasons, I'd like to hear what you think of them)

I would've went nuts if Griffey was on the Yanks like eight years ago. I still would today as he's still one of my favorite players. But as I said before, the Yankees NEED pitching more then anything else. If they can get both, great then.

I wish the Red Sox would get Griffey and put him in RF. Manny-Damon-Griffey. That's my dream.

if the mets got Sexson then they would probably trade away Mike Cameron, Victor Zambrano, and someone else I dunno but I think Cameron is still waiting to break out, plus he has a few gold gloves under his belt. Not worth it. Mets shouldn't be trading him at all.

The Reds wouldn't trade Griffey unless they got a ton of pitching in return and I doubt that's something the Yankees could part with.

The Reds have a log jam of younger and talented OF's though.

People seem high on him. He nneds full time work before you really scrutinize his numbers. IMO.

I can't see the Yankees taking on another big salary like Junior's

I understand that so they would be much better suited to trade him to a contender with a lot of young arms, much like they did with Randa to the Padres.

Plus Dunn is a FA next year and for whatever reason someone is going to give him a huge deal.

They should unload atleast 2 of their outfielders and go after a Jason Schmidt type along with younger pitchers

Apparently there's a rumor going around of a 3 way between the Rangers, the Mets, and the Reds that would send Soriano and Sean Casey to the Mets.

That's be kinda nuts.
