nah, it's that black dude on tough enough 3 who was over the age limit but ripped as heel. he lied about his age and got kicked off the opening round, but he got a contract later.
It's the guy who was kick off of Tough Enough because he lied about his age.
Edit: Corky beat me.

The WWE apparently gave him the gimmick in OVW, so it wasn't Cornette's or someone else's idea, it was the geniuses on the WWE writing team.

If they capitalized on that, Boogeyman might be watchable. That little divine interference may be just what Marty Wright needs to get over with this stupid, stupid gimmick.

I actually might have been interested in the character if they didn't give him a crap name like "The Boogeyman". Seriously, even KIDS will laugh at that name. They could at least try with the name. I entered "Mr Death" into a translator thing and got the Italian translation which is "Morte di Signor". That sounds much cooler than "The Boogeyman". Why not make him "Dio di Morte" which means "God of Death". Hell, just call him Morte Wright and have him wrestle when it's raining.
If this guy gets a good entrance, is serviceable in the ring, and actually appears scary instead of campy, he might get over as a force, but if he does make people trying to be scared of him laugh, then you're going to have problems.

I beg to differ. Morecai looks like Gandalf, who was played by British actor Sir Ian McKellen, who is, infact a raging homosexual.
Not Elton John raging, but more like that bloke from Dawson's Creek raging.

It looks like he got his front teeth removed… Please don’t tell me he did that just for the sake of a potentially horrible gimmick…

If he says it really fast people might not hear it properly. They'll dismiss what they think they heard (Boogeyman) as stupid and think he said something else.

LOL. Boogeyman. This is going to be a joke gimmick, right? Or is he actually going to be portrayed as 'scary'? Either way, the horns have got to go.

Is that... is that feces coming out of his ears?
Anyway, the childish "Boogeyman" name might be one of those bizarre monnikers that ends up growing on you. Like "The Mexicools" or "Carlito Carribean Cool."

So....does he wrestle with the horns? And no matter how many times I look at it, I cannot discern what he's holding. It looks like a mangled eel. I hoping it's a fake tail to go with the plastic horns. But it looks like a mangled eel.

There's a movie called Boogeyman with this tone? I saw ads for the Boogeyman movie I'm familliar with and it had little in common.
