Yeah, so now there are 4 new students there. One guy that started about a week before me, I came, this other kid joined two weeks later and this other kid who's been just observing got into the ring today. It varies on who comes, but the people who are more advanced and are actual wrestlers come at times.
When we first start out, we basically do drills, like two people go into the ring, run against the ropes, shoulder tackle, run against the ropes, jump over the person. elbow/clothesline, pin, and done. I did this with a guy named Chase (real name Kevin). I, of course, fucked up. When I got him in a headlock, he whipped me into the ropes, I shoulder tackled him down, and instead of stopping for a second, I kept going and tripped over him and fell :) I have bad balance. And then we reversed it, whenever you fall, you should keep your chin tucked, cause I keep hitting my head on the mat. It doesn't hurt, just makes you a bit dizzy for a few seconds.
Then me and the 3 other guys went into the other ring, theres two rings, with this guy named Arch Kincaid. He's a wrestler. He's got a shaved head but a blonde ponytail on the front of his head, not in back. The thing that sucks with me is that I forget things easily, I'm like a goldfish, ten second memory. He tells me something, I'll think about it, do it, mess up, do it again, get it that time. So basically, what we did today were go behinds. You put your arms around the guys waist, hold on, and to reverse it, get your right hand in a fist and dig into their hands and go behind them. And then there was the drop toe hold, which you drop to your right knee, and sweep them with your left and the ngo into a headlock. It's pretty funky.
Also there was side headlocks. Basically, they get you in a headlock, you put your hands behind them and jump and you'll get controlled. We also did something else that I can't think of where you have to jump and he'll throw you, a side biel or something like that. The guy, Arch, says I really have to jump when I do it. It sucks, he says I'm defensive, and I kind of am, and it sucks. I kind of have a short temper, I didn't lose it there, but I'm impatient, and that sucks as well. Everything sucks. And one thing that sucked was that the guy said I should put my hand on his lat, or some muscle in your back, I did, and he was all shocked cause I didn't really know what a lat was, I thought it was some muscle in your leg. I told him I'm pretty unbelieveable at times, and he said yeah.
So yeah, that was basically it. It's really cool if you like it. I'm actually into it so I like it. One thing that I'm really struggling with is going over the ropes backwards. Like when someone clotheslines you over. Hard to get over especially cause I'm short. That's basically it for now. Cheeseburgers.
