Portable word processing apps

Hey,

I'm actually wondering what I'd be looking for if I was looking for a PDA/Palm Pilot/whatever primarily for composition purposes. Something better than like notepad, but an halfheld equivalent of word or works or whatever. I'm not looking for flashy, bleeding edge, or anything. Just something I can make use of when I'm not sitting at my computer.

...And, of course, how much it might set me back for something this simple.

Yeah, I have a ton of them. Harder to keep organised. No spellcheck. And darned if it isn't harder for someone else to read what I wrote...Though it IS a cheap form of encryption. :p

a month ago I would have told you Lifedrive.

4gig HD built in.

Read a bunch of reviews, has some "problems" with rebooting, got one and returned it the next day. It did randomly reboot and it also turned out a web-site I had to access need the windows PDA software, wouldn't run on the other.

After a bunch of research, got a Dell Axim the other day, if you're going to do a lot of docs, you probably want a folding keyboard, I got the bluetooth one, having some "issues", it sees it, but doesn't do anything when I type, but I haven't had time to play with it much.

Anyway, any PDA comes with some type of "Word to go" or you can buy and add it.

Cnet has a bunch of reviews of "top pda's" and you have to decide if you just want to take notes, or if you care about Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Web Surfing etc... etc...
