I don't think this has been discussed here and there's been internet/adult swim hype for about a month now.....

DANGERDOOM:
The Mouse and the Mask
Special guests include
Ghostface Killah, Cee-Lo & Talib Kweli

Adult Swim Inspired Album, Set to Debut in October 2005 on Epitaph Records

Two of this generation's most respected hip-hop artists, Danger Mouse and MF DOOM, have come together to produce DANGERDOOM: The Mouse and the Mask, an album inspired by Adult Swim, Cartoon Network's popular late-night animation network. The album, set to debut in October 2005, will be released on Epitaph Records, in association with Adult Swim. The album will contain character voices and skits from Adult Swim's most popular original shows, including Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Sealab 2021 and Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law.

Danger Mouse is recognized as one of music's most innovative artists and producers. Danger Mouse's The Grey Album, an ingenious re-production of Jay-Z's Black Album with the Beatles' White Album, was named the Album-of-the-Year in 2004 by Entertainment Weekly and catapulted him into the international spotlight. Danger Mouse recently produced Gorillaz Demon Days album, which has sold more than 500,000 copies worldwide in it's initial first weeks of release. His next project is Gnarls Barkley, a collaboration with music's flamboyant, one-of-a-kind force of nature, Cee-Lo.

After a five-year hiatus, that ended in 1998, a former member of KMD emerged as MF DOOM, a persona inspired by the comic supervillain Dr. Doom, and released the critically praised albums Operation: Doomsday and Mmm...Food. DOOM also released one of 2004's most acclaimed albums, Madvillain (featured in Spin, Rolling Stone, Vibe, The New Yorker, etc), under the same name and Venomous Villain under the name Victor Vaughn. He has been involved in a number of collaborations with the industry's finest and has a project with Ghostface Killah (Wu-Tang Clan) in the works.

MF Doom kicks ass. That "Hoe Cakes" song kicks ass. God, I love "Hoe Cakes". He's also tight on "Rock Co Kane Flow" with De La Soul. But those are the only two songs I've heard him on. Also, the only Danger Mouse I've heard is when he produced for Gemini. And those songs were pretty tight, at least the three I heard- "Omega Supreme", "Ghetto Pop Life", "The Only One (the best out of the three)". This album should kick ass.

I guess MF Doom is trying to fit in his 2 to 3 cds a year quota. If this cd is as tight as Madvilliany it might be a top ten contender. This is shaping up as a good year for hip-hop with Felt 2 coming out, a new album for Cage coming soon, a whole bunch of Necro and his labels cds coming out, and my fave cd of the year Sage Francis A Healthy Distrust. But I will most defintly pick this cd up.....

Yeah, I heard a clip of Hell's Winter on the Def Jux site, and it sounds hella badass. And they said September 20th now, but who knows...

I've been reading around the net and everyone is saying Copywrite is a little bitch who can't rap. I'm not sure about the bitch part, but I think Copywrite is a great MC. He was mint on "June" with RJD2 and he was great on that "5 Left in the Clip" as well as "With Us". His chorus on "With Us" is perhaps the best chorus I've heard yet.

Yeah Copywrite is decent and because of live in Ohio have to give him respect along with RJD2 and SA Smash. I actually saw on one hip-hop messageboard pictures of a fight between Copywrite and Camu Tao....I think Copywrite lost even though he had brass knuckles.
As for Hell's Winter it could proably be one of the best Cage songs because he flows so well on the beat...that and it seems it was one of his most personal songs talking about his past and his prozac episodes
