Is the Nature Boy really 16 time world champ

as far as i can remember, the Nature Boy Ric Flair won the WWE Title Only two times.

First in the Royal Rumble 1992 match for the vacant WWE Title
Second when he defeated Macho Man Randy Savage for the WWE Title

The WWE claims that Ric Flair is a 16 time champion then does this 16 time champ clause includes all the titles he has gained? (no offense meant for the Nature Boy)

He has never gained the World Heavyweight Championship since it came into existance

So has he won the WCW title for 14 times?

Or is this story a hoax just to create a landmark for someone like Triple H to break it.

Triple H has won the WWE Title & World Heavyweight Title 5 times each which makes him a 10 time champion and is the closest to beat Flair's record of 16 time reign.

As per my calculation The Rock has gained the WWE Title for most number of times ( 7 times )

I do not want to take anything away from Flair, he is a phenomenal wrestler but i m curious.:?:

i m a new member in this forum so people think i m a babyface and the senior members might have been annoyed by my thread which mentioned HBK kicking Hogan's ass at the Summerslam.

But rest assured dude i was not thinking of Hogan low but just trying to give my opinion and then suddenly i got bad rep which was very foolish of me.

Hogan is an all time great wrestler but in my opinion at this point of his career HBK can beat him.

i know that but it is most unlikely that Hogan will capture the title 5 more times.
While it may never happen but it is possible that Triple H will gain the title 7 more times bcause he still has more years in his career than Hogan and of course he is the son in law of Vince McMahon.:naughty:

Hogan is NOT a great wrestler. He sucks. Unbelievably so. Hell, at this point in his career I could probably beat him (that may be a stretch). Of course HBK can beat him, If the booker gives HBK the win.
