Now there's a sensitive curretn affair which the WWE hasn't touched yet. Is it true? Are the Bashams actually clones?

If you're talking about the indies, then yes everyone has been Doink. But in the WWE/WWF, according to WrestleView.com:

There has been several men who have played Doink. The original and in many fans eyes the best was Matt Borne. Borne played the character from the beginning in 1992 until Doink turned face in 1994. At Wrestlemania 9 Steve Keirn (known as Skinner to WWF fans) debuted as the second Doink but did not replace Borne. The third Doink was Steve Lombardi (known as Brooklyn Brawler). In 1994, a bit before WrestleMania 10 (couple of months), Ray Licachelli started playing Doink and stayed the character until Doink's WWF end in 1995.

So yeah...basically everybody. ;)

Wow, you know, Matt Bourne isn't even trying with his Doink gimmick anymore. He just slaps on the clown spandex, paints half his face, forgets to comb his hair, and suddenly he's Doink 2005. The Extreme Doink!!111 BAHGWAD
