yeah the Mid-Atlantic final will be on Monday at 7:00 on ESPN2 or some shit. It may only be viewable on East Coast though, not sure.

Anyway my town has 2 leagues, Toms River, and Toms River East. TRE won the entire shit back in like 98, when I was 11. And the real TR was actually better that year:'(. Now this year the Little League I went through is almost there, it's pretty cool because they are all like my friends little brothers and stuff.

TOWNS GETTIN PUMPED AGAIN

A Phenix City team won runner-up it back in the day. Lost to Osaka, Japan.

Colby Rasmus was nearly unhittable for most of the night. Essentially playing catch with his brother Cory, the tall lefthander used a sharp breaking curveball to retire 13 of 14 batters from the first inning through the fifth, including eleven strikeout victims. Colby Rasmus struck out a Southern Region championship game record 13 batters on the evening, and took a one-hitter and a 3-0 lead into the final inning.

Then this past year the guy was Mr. Baseball here in Alabama and on the team that won the Class 5A CHampionship.

Russell County High School center fielder Colby Rasmus capped one of the state's most productive high school baseball careers this season by capturing the Alabama Sports Writers Association's "Mr. Baseball" award for 2005.

The senior left-hand hitting slugger led the Warriors to a 38-1 record, the school's first-ever Class 5A state baseball title and most likely the school's first-ever national championship.

Colby hit .484 this past season with a state-leading 24 home runs. He was 61-of-126 with 66 RBIs and 69 runs scored in 39 games. He walked 22 times, struck out only 13 times and had 19 stolen bases. Rasmus also had 14 doubles and three triples. Defensively, none was any better at center field.

He has spent the last few weeks going though workouts with several major-league teams – the most recent the Red Sox at Fenway Park.

"He had a tremendous workout with the Red Sox," said coach Rasmus. "He was clocked at 94 (mph) throwing from centeR field."

Colby Rasmus also had a workout with the Atlanta Braves, Florida Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals among others. Baseball America is projecting the early Auburn signee as a late first round or early second round pick. Coach Rasmus said his son had tremendous workouts for the the Cards and Marlins.

"It's hard to say just where he will fall in the draft," said coach Rasmus. "I just got off the phone with the Braves, and they told me they have the 27th pick overall. They said if they didn't get him then, they don't think he'll be around when the get their next pick at 41."

Colby Rasmus headlines the ASWA's Super 12 team as well as the Class 5A All-State team. The complete ASWA All-State team is being released today.

Teammates Cory Rasmus and Kasey Kiker were also named to the Super 12 team. Kiker was 12-1 as a pitcher with 173 strikeouts in 94 innings and an 0.52 ERA. Cory Rasmus, Colby's younger brother, was 11-0 with an 0.52 ERA.

Colby Rasmus, 10-1 as a hurler as a freshman, finished 3-0 in spot duty as a senior with only three hits allowed and no runs with just four walks and 30 strikeouts in 17 innings. He threw a shutout in game three to win the semifinal series over Stanhope Elmore.

Pretty good player in other words. He went 28th in the first round to St. Louis, btw.

WHAT THE FUCK?

Thank you for ruining Toms River's return, thank you for ruining what would have been my only mark out moment in a year.

WHY THE HELL WOULDN'T YOU TYPE "SPOILERS" WHEN YOU TYPE WHAT THE SPOILER IS RIGHT BESIDE IT!!!!!!!!!

Now I know a Toms River loss is confirmed, they are my favourite little league team, hearing one of their bats hitting a home run would have made me mark out so bad, but no, you have to fucking ruin it, couldn't you make the title "Little League World Series" alone? Seriously man, use your goddam brain. Why mark for spoilers when the spoiler is right beside where you mark for spoilers.

Fuck this shit, you're not the only one who does it, so many people do, i am out of the fucking sports forum besides for tipsters until the Little League World Series is over, see you all April fourth.
