View Full Version : The Problem Solver to team with Rene Dupree?

I was watching Heat and Rene Dupree was doing commentary for a Tyson Tomko match against some nobody. Dupree was saying that he was looking for a new tag team partner, and that he thought Tyson Tomko was a good candidate.

I think the team could actually work. I know Tomko didn't look phenomonal when he first debuted on Raw, but if you've been watching his recent Heat matches, he's been looking pretty awesome. Brutal as fuck.

It's cool how they're ending his matches, too. Instead of having to resort to finishers, he just knocks all these jobbers out in creative ways before the ref just calls for the bell.

I'm not really sure why I'm posting this thread, but what do you guys think? Is the WWE actually making an effort to revive tag team wrestling? What would you call the team of Tomko and Dupree?

The Phenomonal Problem Solvers :shifty:
I actually kinda like that name :$

Anybody Thrilla

Would that mean that they were phenomonal when it came to solving problems? Or would it mean that they could solve phenomonal problems?

"Louie, this could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship."

"Or at least a legit tag team division."

"Shhh...Not too loud...Vince might be watching Heat!"

 Sorry, I know I pused it implying they might be watching heat.

I would think the first one, but I'm sure they could get away with the second one.

Oh, and what the Hell?

Since when did middle class people live in Greenwich CT?

Anybody Thrilla
08-28-2005, 08:09 PM
It's not that middle class people live in Greenwich, CT. I think that he was saying that middle class people ASPIRE to live in Greenwich. I think.

Most of the things Chavo talks about have little to do with Middle Class America. Makes me think it's not an aspiration thing. Especially when he's dressing like Carlton Banks.

Anybody Thrilla

Well, I figure the whole gimmick in as aspiration thing, seeing as to how he's denouncing his whole heritage while aspiring to be white. I just thought about it when he had that little run-in with Vince McMahon on Raw that one night.

Kane Knight
08-28-2005, 08:33 PM
You're free to think of it that way, but you have to ignore all these statements that THIS is what middle-class America is.

Anybody Thrilla

It's what he thinks it is, anyhow.

And what the announcers think...

I think you're reaching for depth here. Some gimmicks are not social commentary about the human condition.

Anybody Thrilla

Maybe not, but his promo that he cut on Raw said a lot about society.

....I mean, I don't really remember anything that he was talking about, but I'm pretty sure it was pretty society related.

......plus, I was pretty high. Not even joking.

Finally gonna do something with Dupree. And hopefully a reboot to the tag division.

We can hope. A new TT division would kick some serious ass.

Dupree was saying that he was looking for a new tag team partner...

That alone is reason enough to smile. I'd like to see a revival of the tag team division. Get rid of LOD 2005, get REAL tag teams and not just last-minute put-togethers, and have the tag team belts mean something for awhile.

The tag division is looking a whole lot better lately.

SmackDown!
LOD 2005
MNM
Nunzio and Vito
Mexicools
Regal and Birchall
Simon Dean and Stevie (don't know why they're not teaming)

RAW
The Hurricane and Rosey
The Heartthrobs
Rene Dupree and Tyson Tomko (maybe)
Big Show :shifty:

Okay, so RAW's is considerably weaker, but there's a ton of unused talent on that roster. Turn Tajiri heel and pair him with Kerwin White (and Kerwin tries to make Tajiri more middle-class. Tajiri shaves his beard, starts wearing glasses, and becomes really good at math... :shifty: ). Pair up Val Venis and Viscera and have them be like the Heartthrobs (except able to actually pick up girls). Call up Brent Albright and reunite the Troubleshooters with Chris Masters.

The possibilities are endless. Well, not really, since there's a finite number of people on the planet, but...

There's also that truckdriver / cowboy team that did a promo on RAW. Can't remember what their names are for shit, though.

The Phenominal Problem Solvers will most likely get jobbed to Cade and Murdoch, that or Renee will get sue'd by TNA for the use of phenominal.

RD & TT, Simply Phenominal. I love Tomko. I love the way he comes out screaming nothing in particular, then he does it again after the match. I love how he lost his contacts this week. Dupree is just awesome, and he's starting to look really sinister with his suits and stuff. For some reason, I can see Rene Dupree & Tyson Tomko ripping off Casablanca in a skit. :wtf: I always pictured Tomko as the straight guy comedian, though.

You now have The Big Valbowski & Big Vis teaming, which could be good (Val Venis doing anything if fine by me), TNT on the way in and RD & TT could add something to the division as well. Yay. Tag teams.

Rene and Tomko still isn't as good as Tomko/Snitsky, IMO.

I forgot about TNT.

And the Thrillseekers broke up (in OVW, anyway) so I doubt we'll see them come up together.

Kerwin and Mordecai should reform the KKK.

I don't see a D&D nerd and a yuppie being that much of a threat.

Mordecai: do we actually have to beat the niggers? Can't we just ruthlessly flame them on the internet?

Kerwin: I'm with you, minority blood is murder on my dry cleaning bill...
