PWInsider is reporting that WWE has just signed Vader to a WWE Legends deal.
He last wrestled in Japan at Zero-One’s Hustle-1 show in early 2004, where he lost to the late Shinya Hashimoto. Vader was last seen wrestling in the United States for Jersey All Pro Wrestling, in mid-2004, when teamed with Mike Awesome to defeat Samoa Joe and Dan Maff.

Makes sense, they already have the classic figure on the way. Vader is one of the older guys I won't mind seeing on tv every week.

Sweet.
This reminds me while watching the Taker DVD in the match between Taker/Mankind at the Revenge of Taker...King and McMahon were talking about how Vader was arrested in Kuwait for assualting a reporter. Then King said this funny line...
"It's time! It's time! It's...JAIL TIME!"
Classic Lawler.

i dunno, but 4 some reason, i was thinking they had signed him for a computer game contract thingy, to put him on Raw VS smackdown or something.
Maybe he can b the latest legend killed?

Or he's entering theHall of Fame, or he's got a book/movie/porn career to promote...

I say HOF and a possible DVD. I'd love to see Vader in the HOF, he's known not only throughout WWE and WCW (NWA?), but in Japan as well. He's big in Japan like David Hasselhoff is in Germany. :naughty:

I heart Vader (except for the time he was on "Boy meets World".. ugh) and I wouldn't mind seeing in WWE one more time, just as long as he is not Hogan'd in our faces. Def. one of the best big men in the business.

Great. Vader is awesome no doubt, but WWE are probably going to fuck him over by making fun of Vader and show videos of him sitting on the crapper and it breaks and then he punches a hole in the wall that knocks his wife into acoma.
But seriously, Vader is cool.

Vader is one of the most underrated guys ever. Period.
He's 1,000 times better than 99% of the guys out there now, and was NEVER given a chance in the WWE because he wasn't a Vince creation. Vader drew money for WCW, drew mega money in Japan and Germany [and still could], and could've been a major draw for WWF - but they used him for nothing more than getting THEIR guys over.
Total bullshit. They dropped the ball BIG TIME with him, and now they'll exploit his success to make a buck off of him [after he's retired, when they could've made $$ with him in the ring]. Shitheads.

He'll only look stupid if he doesn't play ball. ;)

This is another one I tend to blame on Micheals. He could have dropped the WWF title to the monster at that one Summerslam (the year I cannot remember, 24 and Senile, baby), but he didn't want to, I guess. (though he does get props for taking a Vader-Sault, which was the scariest thing I had ever seen)

The last time I saw Vader in a WWF ring was when Kane hit him with a wrench, was that his last appearance?

Nah, he went on beyond that. Ironically enough, one of the last bouts I remember him in had him doing the JOB to Bradshaw.

So was there no aftermath following the match with Kane? I mean, he got hit by a wrench.

He might've been gone from Raw, or maybe even gone for a few weeks/mon...Yeah, come to think if it, if I'm RIGHT, he was gone a couple of months, then showed up at the April Pay-Per-View and got involved in the Inferno Match between Undertaker and Kane. Kane and Vader went on to have another match, this being a Mask vs. Mask Match, which I thought was hilarious.
