Anybody else watch it? I played hokcey with Dean Mayrand( the guy who won). He's one scary motherfucker

Nope, but last week, I heard one of the contestants (or guys who tried out at least) being interviewed, and he was asked why he was entering the competition.

His answer was "Well, I really need the money."

The grand prize is like $65,000 (Canadian dollars).

Yeah, the original one that I think was going to be in Minnesota the top ex-nhl goon was Lyndon Byers.

It was funny, Byers does sports on a morning radio show and another X-nhl goon called to try and goat LB into doing it and LB explained at that time the prize money was very little and he told the promoter to get up like 250K and the guys like him, probert, domi, etc... would all do it.

Byers couldn't do this one, it's in Canada, he's from Canada but has some issues (passport or something) that he can't cross the border.

He isnt really a fighter. Surely could hold his own, but still...

Tony Twist could do some serious damage also. Stu Grimson was kinda nuts also..

There were a lot of fights in the stands and then outside the arena. 35 people were arrested for fighting. Family fun!
