When did this happen? I don't remember the moonsault being banned.

----------------------------------------
From Wrestlezone.com:

Matt Hardy did a moonsault on RAW last night which is a 'banned' move. For those wondering, only management can tell the guys to do it so it's not entirely banned, they just need to have 'permission' which is rare. And yes, before we get tons of crazy emails, neither Edge or Hardy was injured last night.

Seriously though, I thought it was the 450 that was banned.

Meh, the way it's going, wrestling news sites have to either exaggerate or make shit up just to get anyone to talk about them.

wwe.com being so up front for a minute or two a few weeks back didn't help wrestling news sites either.

*McMahon clears throat*

VKM: "If I could have your attention for just a second. I'd like to let you know that we've officially banned the use of anything that will get anyone over in anyway. Now where did I put those Classics action figures?" :shifty:

The 450 isn't even a moonsault.

From what I've read, the 450 and the moonsault have been banned.

pretty soon the only move allowed from the top will be an elbow drop

That was banned years ago. Michaels just uses hisbackstage pull to keep it up.

oh... I guess that explains why Flair can never do a move off the top rope but always get tossed off.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to inform you from now on that only kicks, punches and clothesline are allowed, unless given special permissions. As far as finishes go, each match must end with a roll-up unless noted otherwise before the match. Thank you".

Coming soon to WWE meeting.

So why was the moonsault banned? Did someone get hurt while doing it or something? Or is it Holly's fault..?
When the WWE is banning moves like the piledriver or the freaking moonsault it just makes me wonder about "wrestling" these days... God how I miss the old days.

Vince gets injured walking into a ring, so should we ban the ring too? Cut me a freakin' break! :nono:

There will be a day when wrestling matches will mostly consist of just handshakes and maybe pats on the back, due to the stupid bannings.

This is bad news all round. The CW looks like becoming all mat-based (especially with Nunzio as champion) and could lead to the departures of talents luche-typed wrestlers such as London - who are some of the best entertainers on WWE tv.

Don't get me wrong, I like Guido. He pulled off some 5* matches in ECW, but a CW match in the WWE is basically a faster version of a heavyweight match with smaller wrestlers. Their shows need the diversity provided by the CW division, especially if it's going to keep viewers like myself interested.

moonsault banned? they should have banned the moved Brock botched and wm20.

far more dangerous bumps going on than a moonsault.

The Shooting Star Press? I believe they have banned that also.

And yeh, you're right. There are far more dangerous bumps than a moonsault. Just look at this week's Raw and Smackdown. We had Edge and Matt Hardy diving off a ten foot stage and Ken Kennedy nearly breaking his neck trying to plant Funaki. I really hope Kennedy doesn't botch that move!

This is getting ridiculous, I bet this is all to turn the WWE into a rockem, sockem robots type deal. Both wrestlers stuck to the mat, just within punching distance of each other. Match ends when someones head comes off.

Chavo Classic

They did that at Summerslam with Hardy and Edge.

Unfortunately Matt was not decapitated.
