I read that Mick Foley has confirmed he is returning to Raw television.Wouldn't it be something if it was revealed he was the one behind the attack of Ric Flair.

From WWE.com
Hardcore legend and three-time WWE Champion Mick Foley says he’s coming back to WWE television.
When reached Wednesday via cell phone between stops on his book tour, Foley confirmed that he has reached a deal in principle with WWE. He chose not to elaborate further, citing that he’d prefer to save the details until after the “formal arrangement” has been finalized.
“We have an agreement,” Foley said. “The papers are just being drawn up. We should be good on it.”
Foley first appeared in WWE in 1996. Thereafter, he furthered his reputation for putting his body on the line in many of WWE’s most memorable matches.
Since retiring from the full-time roster in 2000, Foley has become a bestselling author. He is currently amid an extensive book tour for his latest novel, “Scooter.” Click here for tour dates.
They should make him the new Smackdown GM.

I like Foley, I really do, but he's lost a bit of integrity by coming back yet again. In his own words, he's a prostitute.

Smackdown needs him a hell of a lot more than Raw.
And he has been talking with Vince about a full time role for months now.

He's following Funker's footsteps in every way possible

Hopefully he'll come back and put some young talent over, like he did with Orton.

How's that then? When did he last say he was retiring? When he left after the Orton matches, he didn't say he wouldn't wrestle again or come back in a TV role. And even if he did (but he didn't), he is Mick Foley. He is so well liked that he could probably eat a couple of children and still be over.

The first seven chapters of Foley is Good are essentially about how he'd never prostitute himself and make a return after retiring. I suppose that he though that since he whored himself out for a Wrestlemania 20 spot that they'd be no harm in whoring himself out again to promote another book. He's like a gambling addict... he doesn't know when to stop and is making excuses to break promises he made not only to himself, but to his fans.

Unlike Hogan, Foley puts people over so I'm okay with it.

I like it when Foley returns. He's always entertaining, never hogs the spotlight, plus he doesn't wrestle a fully schedule. One or two matches occasionally. He never "whores" himself out. The guy is a class act for helping ROH.
Anyway, I remember reading that and thinking "Please send him to SmackDown!..." seriously, they need him WAY more than RAW. Either have him serve as the new GM (have Theodore Long suspended by "The Network" or something), or have him join Michael Cole and Tazz on commentary. You then have a reason to watch Friday Night SmackDown!.
Seriously, Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio, Paul London, Christian, William Regal, Booker T, The Mexicools, JBL, Batista, Paul Birchall, Spanky and pretty much anyone else on the roster would benefit extremely with Mick Foley playing a role close to them.
They should make him the new Smackdown GM.

When I think Mankind, I think of the glorious Attitude Days against The Rock.

Foley as GM would be very entertaining. But they're already building up Long vs the Network guy, and doing it slowly but pretty well, so I doubt that'd happen soon.
