Today, learned armdrags and hiptosses. When doing hiptosses, the person giving it has to stick their arm out and you have to hook it by going over their elbow, placing your right hand on their hip and jump over. When jumping over, its a forward roll, you go on your right leg and just jump and drive with your left foot. It takes a while to learn them, but its pretty easy once you got it. It sucks when you forget to tuck your chin and bang your head against the mat cause you get a headache and feel dizzy. That didn't happen today, but it does sometimes and its just BLAH!

Armdrags. You basically lock up with them, go to the turnbuckle, they'll duck down on a knee, you hook their arm and put your arm on their shoulder and dive over. It's kind of easy but it takes a while just like hiptosses. That's a kneeling one, standing one is the same only the other person is standing. One thing you have to do is when you walk into it, you have to keep your head in the air and not tuck your chin early cause you want the audience to think that he's really throwing you over. Wrestling is hard cause you have to focus on a million things at once. It's like walking, chewing gum, rubbing your stomach, patting your head, nodding your head and blinking your eyes. It's possible, just need to get used to it.

Other than that, recently, just getting better. Like a couple weeks ago we learned these fancy kind of pins. Like the small package, sunset flip, and three other weird ones that I don't know the name. Like the guy is on all fours, you dive over him and roll him up. School boy is another thing I learned. When giving, you lie down and tuck on the inside of their leg, they have to roll over you and you roll them up. The first time I did it, I fell too early and I hit the guy right in the nuts. I felt bad, but got the hang of it after that.

Other than that, that's bascially it. This coming Friday, Paul Bearer is going to be at the show in Methun. Then the next day, September 10th he's going to be at the training center giving a three hour lecture. THat's basically it for now, I'll post more info about the training later tonight probably cause I don't have time right now. HAHA!

Awesome, man, thanks for keeping us updated. I enjoy reading these posts as I remember what training was like. It can be tough sometimes but it's worth every second. Armdrags and hiptosses was the first moves I learned. On my first day we done regular bumps, super bumps (that's where you stand in the corner and take 2 or 3 big steps to the middle of the ring and jump as high as you possibly can and take a bump), fingertip tosses (where you stand in the corner and a guy gets on all fours in front of you and you take a step, place only your finger tips on the guys back and flip over), and top rope bumps which is basically where you climb the top rope and somebody body slams you off. I'm not sure if everybody has to do fingertip tosses, super bumps, and top rope bumps though.

The second day of training we just done hiptosses and armdrags over and over. Sometimes I'd get mixed up when doing armdrags. When the guy bounced me off the ropes I'd come back like I was gonna take a hiptoss rather than an armdrag. My trainers also would sometimes bitch at me and say I wasn't jumping enough in the armdrags. Once while taking a hiptoss I didn't flip quit straight so one of my trainers made me do flips, like the ones you do when you're a kid when you just lay your head on the floor and roll over, around the edge of the ring lik 5 times. I was dizzy as fuck when I got up and those fuckers made me run the ropes. LOL

I know what you mean about forgetting to tuck your chin. Over where I trained our ring was stiff as Hell. Much stiffer than an average indy wrestling ring. It didn't have a spring in it either. It didn't have hardly any give at all. I remember this one guy who was training gave me a huge powerbomb and I forgot to tuck my chin and it rattled my fuckin skull. I had to quit training for about an hour or so. Believe me, I know how bad that shit hurts. But you get use to it after awhile and then it's hard not to tuck.

But I'm glad everything's working out for ya, man. Sounds like you're doing great. Be sure to keep us posted on how everything goes. Keep working hard, man, and it will surely pay off. Take care.

Thanks for the updates, man.

I love hearing how all this stuff works. Arm drags look as cool as Hell, IMO, when done right. Eventually tucking your chin in will become second nature, at least from my experiences with other things. There'll probably be little things you need to master before you can get everything perfect, though. I have faith in you. Keep up the good work, man. :y:

Awesome stuff! These are great reads, and I get to live vicariously through someone who's actually doing it! :D

Like the guy is on all fours, you dive over him and roll him up.
That's the Mahistrol Cradle.

And surprisingly, I spelled that correctly the first time around while doing a "search" on Google to make sure I spelled it right. I think.

I thought that was the oklahoma roll? the Mahistrol cradle you have to hook the arm with your legs.

Yeah, you're right, destor18. In a Mahistrol Cradle, when your opponent is on all fours you hook your legs around his right arm, turn a 360, and roll him up for a pin. I'm pretty sure the move PorkSoda described is an Oklahoma Roll.
