Seriously people should realize widescreen is better so they can stop making full screen dvds. Occasionally I'll buy a movie, I simply grab it assuming it's widescreen but not fucking dumb cunts have to have it full screen thus fucking me over. Needless to say I'm stuck with fullscreen dvd of "Crash.''

So basically, you're blaming other people for your negligence.

Good for you.

Do you know that Full Screen literally cuts 1/3 of the picture from each side of the screen?

yeah, but I don't have a wide screen TV, and widening out the picture so you can see the 1/3 cutout makes my picture smaller, and the black bars distract me throughout a whole film

its not like much happens in the 1/3 anyway... but I see why people prefer wide screen, I guess I am just used to my old VHS :\

Well, not that that's an unrealistic number or anything, but I'll let that slide. More to the point, most movies don't suffer from this anyway.

I prefer widescreen, but the difference is often minute in terms of actual content.

I prefer wide screen. My TV has a setting to make any A/V component wide screen, although it's not the same, as it just stretches the pictures...

Well, except that the difference between 1.85:1 and 1.33:1 isn't "A third on either side."

It's actually under a quarter combined. :)

I would, but it's got a restraining order.

I've got to stay at least 600 integers away.
