So I just found out every single World Cup game will air on ESPN or ESPN 2 next year  Fuck yea. First time it's ever happened in America.
So for you Yanks who watch the WC (i.e. probably just me and BCWWF) we get all the games this time.

There were quite a few on in Korea/Japan, but they were all just on at like midnight, 3 a.m., and 6 a.m. That still made for some fun nights though, we had a big party for the 3 a.m. game against Mexico, it was pretty sweet.
What times will the Germany games be on here? I assume morning, like 7 a.m., 10 a.m., 1 p.m.?

Germany will be 6 hours ahead of EST, kickoffs will mostly be at about 4pm at the very earliest and 8pm at the latest.

No that can't be right, if a game started at 8 p.m. EST it would be 2 a.m. in Germany.
I'd think that a primetime (7 p.m.) game would start at 1 p.m. then in New York. Unless prime time is 8 p.m. or doesn't exist at all? Now that I think about it, I remember France being pretty much morning games here as well.

On the other hand, it might come off as "cool" to the next gen. and there could be a soccer boom in the U.s :meh:

Technically there already is a soccer boom. It's getting more popular here every year.

The US has no chance of winning it this year, but depending on the draw they could get back to where they were last year. If FIFA rankings were accurate and Casey Keller actually is the best keeper in the world, then I'll be damned. I still stand that the US will make a run at the finals in the next 15 years though, even though everybody east of the Atlantic wrote paragraphs against it last time I said anything.

Lol, I figured somebody would point that out.
Even the idiots of the world have to enjoy the World Cup, it is unlike any other event in team sports.

I think the last two big events, world cup and euro championships have shown that the gap between the better and poorer sides is getting smaller and that anhything can happen.
