I have no viruses OR spyware that I've managed to discover, and my computer runs fine, BUT...

for the last three nights, I've been coming home to weird shit...

I come home on Monday night, and now all of a sudden, I always get a logon screen when I boot the machine or when coming back from a screensaver. I know I never did that.

I come home last night, and the toolbars and stuff in Internet Explorer are not how I keep them OR left them the last time I shut down.

I come home tonight, and my desktop icons are all over the place. Anyone got a clue on what the problem could possibly be? It's just not making sense to me.

Someones messing with your comp. Perhaps you should have a login screen, and put a password on it.

If anyone was home when I'm not home, I could see that as a possibility.

Sounds like somebody was using your computer while you were gone?

I talked to someone and found what it was. It's .NET's 1.1 Framework. I highly recommend NOT downloading that.

Just had to install it due to VB.net install reequiring it.

That makes it so it takes you to the login screen after you move off a screensaver (and maybe at login), but the other problems weren't caused by this. Also, that is easy to reverse.

Yeah, VB.NET makes me have a login screen too now. Sucky, but nothing serious
