View Full Version : I'm seriously tired of Cena..

I really hated it when they traded Cena for Batista. See, Cena is really getting very annoying. I'd rather have Batista than Cena on RAW. Batista was atleast fairly entertaining.
Everytime I see this clown in the ring with a microphone in his hand I know that it will be terrible. The guy seriously makes me feel ashamed of watching wrestling... Then again, it's not really the guy's fault. It is his dumb gimmick that gets to me. I really hope Angle gets the title at the PPV.
I'm probably not the only one either...

Neither of them are that special. It seems like both of the champions are still at Intercontinental status.

They just need to let Cena do what got him over: write his own promo freestyles.

Funky, wouldn't writing his freestyles be oxymoronic?

HAH! CAUGHT!

But yeah, hulkamania131043443, I definitely agree with you there about Cena and Batista seeming very mediocre at best, at least to me. They just don't seem like championship material. They're too new. They both started around 2002/03 if I'm not mistaken and both played very unimportant roles that I just shrugged off.

It's like if they put the WWE title on Ken Kennedy in 2 years. Sure, he's great and all, but it's way too soon. Seeing The Rock win the title in a few years was believable, because he was insanely charismatic and entertaining. Batista isn't entertaining to me. And Cena just spouts off the same crap every time, "You want some? Come get some!" and all the chain gang and "real seeing real" bullshit.

At least with JBL as the champ, he was entertaining (again, to a point; I could only take so many Tarzan references), much more so than Batista is, and more so than the Cena we currently have now. Sure, let Cena freestyle and return to the borderline heel I know he can be. As for Batista? Eh, he's just a big guy, semi-entertaining at times, but overall nobody I really care for as champion.

I hate to say this. I really do. But I'd rather have HHH as champion than Batista. :( (pretending they were still on the same show)

You know what I fucking meant. Let him actually freestyle it and not have the writers come up with "chuck on these nuts" followed by throwing packets of nuts at people.

It was funny once, and then after that I wanted to punch myself every time I heard it.

It's the management/top talent's fault for not putting over newer guys until it was too late. like half their loster from the last 5 years has been fired and all the new guys were brough in with no build up. And since they're new they either get put in shit gimmicks and jobbed all over the place for a whole year or they are rocketed to the top out of nowhere. With guys like HHH, HBK, Undertaker and Hogan, they just look out for their spots and job once they need some fresh meat in the main event scene.

Yeah, and I meant "choke", not "chuck". Yeah, it was weird when all of these crazy good raps stopped and they all got crappy seemingly out of nowhere.

I thought Batista's match with JBL this week was great. I really enjoyed it. A month ago i believe i posted about how crap Batista was. I'm starting to warm up to him. I'm really starting like him more and more. I guess i just needed to sit down and take his performances in a little more. The crowd is really behind him. At first i couldnt see why, but after thursday i can see why. I think Batista is starting to become Smackdown.

Cena on the other hand seems to be getting crappier and crappier. I really do get bored with both his mic skills and his in ring skills. I'd rather see him back on smackdown. BTW his catch phrases are the worst. Honestly, Orlando Jordans catch phrase in that short promo he cut on this weeks smackdown was better then any of Cena's . Thats sad. I dont know whos fault it is, but i know i'm not being entertained.

He did it, until an angry President phoned the FCC and they were fined for the "offensive" nature. Apparently choking on nuts is too close to home for Mr. Bush, who was reminded of his own pretzel "Mishaps."

Glad some people are warming to Batista though. While I mock his mic skills (AND A LOT), he's entertaining.

This made me laugh!

A typical Rock promo was no different to Cena's current shtick!

Finally The Rock...has come back...to [insert town name]...the millions and millions...Roody Poo...Candy Ass...Jusy Bring It...If ya smeeeeeellll...what The Rock...is...cookin'

It all gets tired after a while no matter who's doing it! Personally I HATED Rock promos (not that I like cena's)

Yeah but XL, not every Rock promo was like that. Remember his promo before Armageddon where he imitated all 5 of his opponents? And the Billy Gunn/God promo? And the Test promo? And... Yeah, there are plenty of memorable ones. Sure, he did suffer from Repetitive Promo Syndrome (RPS) at times, but Cena, I believe, suffers from it moreso.

Also, am I the only person who falls asleep during EVERY single SmackDown! main event? I'm serious, it happens every single time.

For the most part, his promos were formulaic. Cena's playing to catchphrases which will illicit a response. It'd be better if he didn't do the "Chain Gang" bit, but it would have been better if 95% of the Rock's promos weren't identical. Find a catchphrase, run with it for a year or two.

People hated the Rock for it then. Now they fucking worship him.

I fall asleep during the Raw main event everytime I watch! I suspect this is more to do with the fact that it's around 3.30AM when it starts than to do with the fact they are sub-par! Plus I rarely get to see SD! so I couldn't fall asleep!

I must agree that The Rock promo from Armageddon was awesome (was this the one he reffered to everyone as a body part?? A nose, an ass, etc or was that some one else??)

I think I get fed up of overuse! So, and this goes for both Rock and Cena, using ANY catchphrase in EVERY promo just appears dull to me! Give me an Eddie Guerrero HEEL promo anyday! but definately not a HHH!

bad guy's are much better people in the wrestling world, they actually have guts and do whatever it takes to win.

Good guy: You might be Champ, but these people will cheer me on and I'll kick your ass!
Bad guy: unlike you, I fight my own armies, not preach bullshit to a crowd.

Thats something a lot of guys get wrong. If your a heel and turn face, keep doing the same things your doing, its what got the people on your side in the first place. Best example Austin
If you a face and turn heel, make the people hate what they used to love, best example The Rock (corporate elbow anybody?)

Cena's raps were kinda good in the beginning because HE was writing them. Now the Nick-at-nite, CBS, Dawson's Creek, story writers are writing them. Cena isn't the same like he was a year or so ago.

Let me see if I can get this straight.

Pre-Mania 21: OMG if the WWE doesn't put the Title on John Cena I will fucking kill myself.

Post-Mania 21: OMG! Cena fucking sucks on the mic. Get the damn title off of him and put it on someone else or I will fucking kill myself!

That's an accurate timeline of this boards love-hate of Cena.
