Daniel Puder has been released from WWE.

Puder won last season’s Tough Enough competition on SmackDown and was awarded a one-year guaranteed contract with a three year option. This past week, Puder’s contract expired and WWE declined to exercise the option on the additional three years.

Check back here for more on Puder’s release as it becomes available.

At least he made some cash. Probably more than he would have in the UFC.

You know, for someone who could have made Kurt Freaking Angle tap out, he had to have had some talent. Whether that would have translated into pro wrestling well I guess we'll never know, at least not anytime soon in the WWE.

So last year we were forced for 6 or 7 weeks so watch this crap on Smackdown.

Then all he gets a quick Royal Rumble appearnce and never seen again?

Well that was a waste of time.

Least he made some Money i suppose.

Looks like they'll have to redo the lyrics in his song, to "I'm feeling unemployed".

Maybe WWE will get the picture and realize that wasting half-hour segments of your weekly shows with "reality" programming doesn't lead to anything productive.

Nah.

Didn't he only get quarter of a million. Which is still alot but wasn't it a quarter of a million for each year he was there.
He had no charisma but seemed like a decent worker. Funny that The Miz is still there.
Any news on the guy who injured himself in the trials but got a contract.

What's even more intresting is on the most recent ovw taping they had him win the number1 contendership for the ovw title.

Well, not everyone in OVW is under WWE contract. Just because WWE let him go doesn't mean he's necessarily done with OVW.

I don't care, but what the hell was the point of having that whole Tough Enough garbage then?!

Everyone has been a flop thus far. Maven was good but they released him, Puder went nowhere, and who the hell else won???

Anyhow, like someone said earlier, I hope they stop this tough enough reality tv mess from now on.

No, I don't think he did.

The search was like a quarter of a million a year for four years. BAsically, you had to be performing with the WWE for that time to earn the money.

Guess what?

Well, someone sort of beat me to it.

Anyway, they've fired most of the TE contestants now. What you wanna bet they still don't learn?

Maven Huffman - Released
Nidia Guenard - Released
"Miss" Jackie Gayda - Released (shouldn't have taken time off for your honeymoon, kiddo)
Linda "Shaniqua" Miles - Released
Johnny "Nitro" Hennigan - Former WWE Tag Team Champion. Still around.
Matt Cappotelli - Was supposed to answer Chavo's open challenge last year until Holly injured him. Still around.
Daniel Puder - Released

Daniel Puder didn't make 1/4 million dollars. The word around town is that he only made 50K-75K a year. He didn't get what he was promised. 4w-wrestling.com has more info. Unlike Ashley who is getting 250,000/yr, Puder didn't.

UFC should sign Puder immediately. Market him as the man too tough for the WWE and put over he had Kurt Angle beat before refs saved him.
