What rematch in wrestling was you anticipating but didn't live up to the billing? mine would be HBK Vs Bret at SS 97 but of course there was the Monteal incident overshadowing it.

Kurt VS HBK
It was good but not as great as it should have been.

Rock v Hogan
neither was particularly amazing, but the second was garbage

I was bout to also say Rock vs. Hogan II

Steiner vs. HHH II was a load of crap. It got so bad that the fans were booing Steiner, the face, and cheering for Triple H, the heel.

I'm so sick of people saying garbage like this... people have the right to boo and cheer whoever the fuck they want... and that's besides the point... it wasn't as much about cheering HHH but about booing Steiner and his garbage ring work

i'm not saying anything about steiners in ring work but at that time triple h was the top heel and those cheers probably made his damn head bigger than ever

Ego inflation or not, in that situation you have to cheer Triple H.

For the most part, every single time there is a rematch, it isn't as good as the first one. Kind of like movies I guess. A few noteworthy exceptions...

Ric Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat, of their "Big Three" every single time the next one was better then the first.

Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. The Rock...ditto...of their Big Three Mania matches, always got better.

Jerry Lynn vs. Rob Van Dam...the second one was incredible...sadly, the thrid was luke-warm.

Once you count ring rust RVD and Lynn's third match really wasn't that bad.

Eddie vs Rey matches have been getting better.

Sting vs Hogan II

the fact is, I lost MOST respect for wcw for not giving us a clean win from the stinger vs hogan I. after an 18-month BUILD-UP! they wanted to go with the "brett hart story" instead. the mere fact that it ended under speculation and the next night sting was stripped of the title. I pretty much gave up on wcw. BIG mistake. so, when sting won it again I was just like...meh

Hunter/Michaels...everything after SummerSlam was below the bettles that feast on shit.

I can't really think of many, but I HATE how they have had John Cena and Batista (particularly Batista) face off against the same opponents again and again. They seem to be freshening things up with Cena, but 'Tista has had THREE opponents in World Heavyweight Title matches in five months (or something very close to that.

Stone Cold Steve Austin V. Kurt Angle II at Unforgiven. Their first match at Summer Slam was insanely good

John la Rock

most recently Undertaker vs Randy Orton at Summerslam. That match sucked compared to their WM 21 match

also The EC/Dudleyz/Hardyz matches kept getting better and better every single time

When was Warrior/Hogan II?

You do realize the person that mentioned that posted exactly when it happened right below it, don't you? If you don't, I shall kindly reiterate that it happened in WCW at Halloween Havoc 98.

Heh, that was the biggets trainwreck of a match I have ever seen and it really put a damper on what was otherwise a fantastic Pay per view.

When was Warrior/Hogan II?

My friends and I lucked out on that one. Our cable provider cut the match out. All we saw was black screen. It was probably more entertaining than the match itself. :y:
