Two days ago Tokyo Sports out of Japan, broke news that during his trip to America, former GHC Heavyweight Champion Kenta Kobashi would be meeting with WWE road agent, John Laurinaitis (Johnny Ace). Tokyo Sports is now reporting “Kobashi’s WWE Participation” during his time here. With all that talent currently scheduled, it is possible Kobashi may make an appearance at the 10/3 WWE Homecoming RAW.

Not to be cynical, but we have to remember that the two wrestled together back in AJPW. When I heard they were meeting at first, I didn't think of WWE, I just thought it was to reminisce...
With that said, if Kobashi gives Hogan the Burning Lariat, I will need new pants.

If only they could pull in Liger ( Who will be state side on TNA's ppv because he's fighting Samoa Joe...)
Think of the possibilities...
And what ever happened to KaShin? Wasn't he doing dark matches with WWE?

John Cena is a great talent. I love how well he does that moonsault, and then there's that Ankle lock thing he adapted from Ken Shamrock. He deserves to be champion! He is the greatest!!!!!!1

Yeah, that bald guy who does the FU shouldn't be the Champ. Seriously he's always telling us he isn't even the champ, every week he points to the same little girl and tells us the champ is herrrrrrrrr.

I don't know why, but I have visions of Kenta Kobashi playing Eric Bischoff's hitman against Cena.
Have Kobashi cost Cena the title, get the women, children and morons against him, and then have JR make it sound like booking Kenta Kobashi (awarded the title) vs. John Cena at Taboo Tuesday is like sending Cena to a death sentence.
It could really work, especially if they have Kobashi kill jobbers with some lethal looking moves.

Kobashi is the shit
but the majority of fans won't care unless its in a ROH event

Seriously, I can picture Kobashi being the top heel in the WWE. Hell, have Matt Hardy win the Money in the Bank Ladder Match and challenge Kobashi (who is given the title by Bischoff) to a match on the RAW after Homecoming. Have Hardy bump like shit for Kobashi, and have him kill Matt with some vicious move putting him out for a few weeks.
Scotty Too Hotty will end up going over on Kobashi.

We're forgetting something here.... Let's pretend that he'll actually be on Raw.... He's not going to be in the WWE on any long term basis... He's stateside for 2 ROH shows... The fact is, he's under contract to NOAH. NOAH will let him tour feds, that's no problem when it comes to Japan. I doubt the WWE is going to use a guy though who is contractual obliged to another company. Vince couldn't sign any kind of a real contract with him, therefore, anything outside a few appearances is basically a pipe dream.

I would shit myself if Kobashi gives Hogan a Burning Hammer :D
It would be FUCKING AWESOME if Kobashi was in the WWE for some matches, even though it isn't possible as said above for long term. Nobody may know who he is, but if they show just CLIPS of his old matches and told the fans how much of a fuckin legend this guy is, he may just get over in some capacity.
Then again, the WWE fans cheer for Cena...

Kobashi in the WWE?
No Burning Hammer
No Burning Lariat (as that's JBL's move)
No Diamond Head
No Orange Crush
Kobashi isn't really in shape to do a moonsault.
As much as I love Kobashi, I think Keiji Mutoh, Masahiro Chono, or Toshiaki Kawawa ( minus the brainbuster and backdrop driver) would be better suited for WWE.

Yeah, basically my thoughts when I read the title.
Scary.

He's running Noah, and he's still insanely over with the crowd... With that said, I really don't know... I'd keep up on puroresu more if I had a way to actually watch it w/o spending money.
I can't imagine Misawa being out of the limelight to much though...

It would never happen, but can you imagine if the WWE gave Kenta Kobashi and the cruiserweights the Velocity timeslot on WWE.com to put together some greatness. Kenta Kobashi vs. Paul London? I'd pay for that.

Same here, I wish I could watch and keep up to date, but it's hard.
Is he still capable of putting on his classic encounters or has his age krept up?

In all likelyhood, this is likely just Japan being Japan - they always exaggerate things like this - remember when Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle were going to wrestle in the Tokyo Dome? It's probably just Kobashi and Ace reminiscing for five minutes over a cup of coffee about the old days of All Japan.
