I just watched it tonight, overall I thought it was a pretty good movie but not really amazing. Anyway, as usual after watching I went on to IMDB to see what other people thought and what was wrong etc., and the other side of the issue is quite prevalent. Obviously you know the story isn't 100% accurate because its a movie, but there are a lot of people in there who are strongly against this movie.

This is the website always mentioned in there, which is admittedly kind of interesting. Somebody went through a lot of work to put this together, and there is a lot of different things. Actual photo's etc. Some of it is rediculous or stupid, like the analysis of how Bob Dylans song is inaccurate, but other stuff is somewhat interesting.

Personally, I choose to believe that the movie is more accurate then this website, but just not extremely accurate as a whole. The fact that one of the guys posting against Hurricane on IMDB had an email and website domain www.whiteboyz.org doesn't help their case.

So what do you guys know and what do you think? It is hard to get a good understanding of whats really going on in those message boards because most people post once and leave.

Ive seen the movie and I also liked it, I also like the song by Dylan, think its very good.

I would choose to support the movies claim more than that website also. Because we have no primary or in-depth insight into the actual case, or evidence etc, its hard to make a judgement that would relate to the truth.

I just think 30 years in jail, for a guy who had a lot goin for himself and being from that neighbourhood - its more likely he is innocent.

Saw the movie and I also read his autobiography and the book about the trials (Lazarus and the Hurricane).

Movie had a lot of errors and alot of stuff on that website reads like he said she logic. One thing they have right is that Carter is a jerk.

Obviously with his auto-biography you have to take with a grain of salt, everything is his memories and twists. Lazarus and the Hurricane I would say call a pretty truthful recounting, it basically goes over the facts and how they debunked the case against the Hurricane (and also tells the story of the people that saved him). Movie is pretty faulty (I remember being pretty pissed about the part about the lead detective) but gives the basic story I guess.

I mean seriously, one argument from the website is that an artist's picture of the killer looks like Artis but was deemed inadmisable since the witness died before the trial
