I bought the Warrior DVD a week early at Wal-Mart. As it said on the headline page they put him down hard. Christian was hilarous cutting Warrior Promos. Most of them said that the only exciting thing about him was his entrance. Bobby Hennan remarked that if he changed his name to the warrior then he should change his name to the weasel. The summerslam 91 incident was talked about although no one seemed to remember how much the Warrior wanted (reports were a million) but Mean Gene said at least 500,000. They talked about his feuds with Andre, HTM, Rude, Hogan, Slaughter, Macho Man, and even Papa Shango. Bischoff planned to make him World Champ in WCW and was even planning tons of Warrior Merchandise but Warrior wanted a large contract and the Halloween Havoc 98 match with Hogan stunk. Hogan said he knew at WM 6 when everyone was looking at him leaving instead of the Warrior in the ring that his reign wasn't going to be a good one.
Rating the matches (out of 10)
1. Debut vs Terry Gibbs. A squash match lasted very short. One of the matches in which they cut to a backstage promo during the match 2/10
2. I-C title Match vs HTM- A squash but it was a very memorable moment in which the longest I-C title reign in history was over. Rating 6/10 (A memorable moment)
3. vs Hogan WM6- A very good match by these two. Warrior wins. shortly under 23 minute match. There is a downside however no Jesse Ventura commentary which detracts from the match. rating 7/10 (had to take off a point for no Ventura commentary)
4. vs Rick Rude Summerslam 90- I would have perferred Summerslam 89 match in which the Warrior Regained the I-C title. Possibly one of the shortest PPV main event matches of all time as it was barely over 10 minutes long a good but not great cage match. Rating 7/10
5. WM 7 vs Savage- In my opinion the best Warrior match ever, it was 21 minutes long and it was back and forth with false finishes in a time where they were rare. It cuts off before the Savage/Liz Reunion. One of the 20 best Wrestlemania matches of all time in my opinion. Slaughter said in the documentary the only reason it was a great match was because of Savage's paranoia of planning the match beforehand Rating 9/10

I'll probably get it, if only to hear them trash Warrior. because outside of the Savage match, his stuff is utter garbage.

Its a very good 95 minute Documentary. I think only ECW and LOD have had the better documentary parts than Warrior's.
i got mine last tuesday and finally finished it today
damn they burried his ass bad and listening to it i think they had the right to do it cause this guy was an asshole and a moronic one at that

why no Ventura commentary?
They have to pay him every time they use his voice because of a lawsuit. I hope its on the WM anthology.

There was also no Ventura commentary on any WCW match he did or on the 80's DVD.

Because, other than Hogan to an extent, Ventura was the only one ever smart enough to actually get what you should be entitled to. :y:

On the opposite side, Jake is probably the man who got the biggest screw job as far as money he brought in to money he actually got.

Because he wouldn't be involved with it.
If he would've, they'd all have been kissing his ass and making him look like Mother Teresa. They'd have done the same thing to Bret Hart if he wasn't involved with his DVD. They knock the Warrior, ignoring the tons of money that they made off him, and continue to make.
If the guy wasn't profitable, there'd be no DVD.

Go to FYE for a bonus disc!
The Ultimate Warrior DVD was officially released today and FYE retail stores have an exclusive second disc included in the Ultimate Warrior DVD package. Unfortunately, the exclusive second disc is pretty bare bones to say the least. Here are the matchlistings on this bonus DVD.
1. Warrior v. Hercules (Madison Square Garden, 4/25/88)
2. Warrior v. Sgt Slaughter (Saturday Night's Main Event, 4/27/91)
3. Warrior v. Macho Man Randy Savage (WWE Championship Match, Summerslam, 8/29/92)
Yes, that's the entire contents of the second DVD. Only three matches and nothing else. There are no extra interviews either, just those three matches.
