According to their schedules Sky one (an entertainment channel here in the UK) are 30 minutes away from showing the episode of the Simpsons where Homer goes to New York city to find his car, which is clamped outside the WTC.

Too early? I don't think I've seen it since 9/11, and I thought I never would again due to certain scenes in the episodes. Do you think this will offend anyone?

Can't see why it would offend anyone, especially in the UK.

I did think this episode was retired, though. It's one of my favourites.

I had to go long enough without seeing that episode after 9/11, and it's one of my favourites, with absolutely nothing 9/11 offensive in it. So to ban it would be ridiculous.

They actually cut a few scenes. Example being the guys yelling at each other from each tower.

Still one of the funniest episodes around though...
"What have you go to drink in there?"
"Mountain dew or crab juice"
"Ewwwwwwww..........ohhhhhh........ ewwwww.... I'll take a crab juice."

I wouldn't so much ban it, but possibly retire it because of some viewers might be sensitivie. They did edit it however

Even that edit was too much, you have to be retarded to complain about it. Same goes with Channel 4 having to apologise for showing "A Streetcar Named Marge".

Crazily enough, that episode was on last night over here, too.

"Homer, I don't want you driving around in a car you built yourself."
"Marge, you can stand there finding fault, or you can knit me some seatbelts!"

1. That episode has been on 1000 times since 9/11
2. Nothing has been cut from the said episode.
3. Fuck 9/11. It's over. Done with. And NOTHING has changed.

But if they just played The City of New York vs. Homer Simpson... that means tonight's episode... is... The Principal and the Pauper.

Shit. What a let down. AWFUL episode.

Sky show them in a seemingly random order, so tomorrow we get The Twisted World of Marge Simpson and The Joy of Sect. (As well as Duffless on Channel 4)

Fuck anyone who would be offended. Its been 4 years, if you find the mere appearance of the WTC to be offensive then you deserve a large slap.

I understand that, but if other countries are cutting up the episode so people aren't offended... well that's just plain retarded.

*To the sound of Big Ben's chimes on New Year's Eve*

WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG! WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG!

WRONG!

WRONG!

WRONG!

They cut a small section of the scene with the two guys yelling at eachother from opposing towers, and one from the left tower yelling down to Homer "He's just a jackass".

I don't mean to be petty, and I know it's not a big edit, but when you make arrogant and boastful lists like that, then you deserve it.

WRONG!

I don't see why that episode should be banned.

it's not like you see any Planes crash into the Towers is it?

I remember the Original Spiderman movie was delayed cause they had to remove the WTC.

He's in the States, you're in the UK, could very well be that what ever channel he saw it on in the States didn't edit out anything
