JORGE LOST!! WTF!

That shit is crazy. That is a huge blow to Franklins team, especially because Von Flue was just having a lucky day. He isn't even close to Jorge's level.

Jorge is gone and Hughes still has all of his badass Welterweights.

On a side note: Matt Hughes is fucking insane

Hughes has to give up a Welterweight next week. Matt has a sick sense of strategy, I wouldn't be surprised if he gave away the guy that just won a fight for him...Jason Von Flue. If not though, you know Luke is going to Tean Franklin

Hughes is the man. For a welterweight he shows heavyweight strength.

Also, Franklin = the man

Jorge is a big fag though, he talked way too much. Tough guy though, but still.

I think Joe Stevenson is gonna win the whole thing.

Great fight last night. I'm finally getting into it again. Watched the last 2 episodes.

What's the weight class for the welterweight division? I like watching guys my size duke it out.

155-169.9

It's scary that if I fought my weight class's champ right now, I'd be fighting Andrei Arlovski

lol

My overall predictions:

Welterweights: Joe
Heavyweights: Kieth (He just looks like a badass)

Jorge was my favorite on the show this year. It sucks that he was dominating Jason until he tweaked his knee again. I know at some point Luke fights Anthony, I'm guessing that will be the next welterweight fight.

I'm also looking forward to see keith fight for the heavyweights, I agree he looks like a badass lol.

Just watched the 10/3/05 episode. I thought the fight was very "blah". Dan just didn't do anything that match.

Yeah, Dan got worked.

Mike Whitehead was the biggest letdown in the history of that show.. Him simply giving up at the end was pathedic..

I actually knew Rashad Evans when he went to my school. I was on the edge of my seat, that whole fight.

From the previews of next week, it looks like he might be going home though.

Fucking shame, too.

Nark Order

Tough break for Rashad having to fight at least 3 times.

For the welters...Joe has it bagged unless he chokes. He's going up against all stikers. No other wrestlers even in the house. Or...who knows. Somebody could get in a lucky shot on him and knock him out. But that' the only way.

Wow the Imes/Evans match was pretty damn good. Too close to call , but no argument in Rashad winning.

Obviously the fix was in for the welterweight match. Luke won that shit. Wow that is a bunch of bull shit.

Nah Joe won that fight. Luke was a winner in the end though, with the whole fucking building chanting his name.

Good fights. I was hoping Luke would get the win. Joe did win on points though. Great fight. Hopefully Luke will pursue a UFC contract still. I almost thought he was going to get a contract too, ala Griffin/Bonner.

Imes may have lost last night, but he'll be a force in the future, if he continues to pursue the challenge of becoming a UFC fighter.

Oh, and Diego was pretty dammed impressive again last night. That too was a close match.

lol @ "Luke, I'm your father."

I did think that Luke won though. He had an answer for everything that Joe was dishing out. Joe definately thought that he was going to get an easy win against Cummo but no such luck for him. Cummo was taking it to him and almost knocked him out twice. I was extremely impressed with Luke's ability to avoid alot of Joe's ground and submission moves.

Rashad wins in a tough fight. That was expected. If the Hillbilly Heartthrob keeps training though, he'll be a monster.

LOL. Did Diego shut Diaz up or what?? Just beat the hell out of him. Diaz is definately a poor sport too...

Insane fight. Diaz came right out and tried to stike Diego down but Diego got in some beatiful counters and had him fighting on the ground for about 80% of the fight. Diaz was very good at avoiding Diego's submissions but not good about getting off his back. They flopped around for a long time due to the fact that they had counters for just about everything that was coming at them. Diego ground and pounded to a unanimous decision victory basically, he was alot busier than Diaz.

After the fight Diaz was asked if he gained respect for Diego after his performance and he said no. Diaz says that Diego was scared of him and that's why he kept him on the ground the entire fight.

He was on the bottom but he wasn't taking damage. He was dishing it out the entire time.

The same could be said for Diaz, but nobody is arguing for his sake. I think it is very clear that Joe won that fight, no question whatsoever. I also agree that Diego won the fight, however I disagree with the 30-27 call. If nothing else the ref should have at least stopped in the 3rd to check Diego's cut. I've seen several fights stopped for less.

Nark Order
11-06-2005, 09:54 PM
And have Diego lose the fight due to a cut when he just could've fought through it and won the fight (like he did)?

AareDub
11-06-2005, 10:19 PM
Back on TUF season 1, don't you think Leben would've won the fight against Florian if they let him keep going? Since when has the fighter's ability to finish the fight been put over their own safety? The cut was over Diego's eye, it should have at least been checked out. I'm not saying the fight should have been stopped completely, I'm just saying they should've at least checked it out. It doesn't make sense to change the rules for one fighter.

Meh, guess I just don't care cause it hurt Diaz. I hate that guy.

Yeah, Diaz impressed me at UFC 56 I think when he beat Lawler. But then he comes out before the fight with Sanchez and completely disrespects him, then gets his ass handed to him for 3 full rounds, and still disrespects Sanchez. Diaz is officially a punk bitch. Sanchez took him to the ground the whole fight just to prove how much of a bitch Diaz is to him.

Sanchez is a bit cocky claiming he is the uncrowned champ, however, he is definately a top tier contender for the title IMO, regardless of his lack of experience. I find it funny how Diaz says Sanchez hasn't fought anyone any good until him. From what I recall, several people Sanchez has dominated have had better records than Diaz. In fact, if you go by record, Diaz is pretty mediocore.

Crimson
11-07-2005, 11:59 AM
Maybe Diaz had fought better competition?

I think they are both cocky (Sanchez/Diaz), but hey most of those tough sons of bitches are. I think Diaz shoulda gave Sanchez his props even if he doesn't like him, But Sanchez is somebody to look out fo rnow.

I still haven't watched the Joe/Luke fight htrhrty

From what I've seen, Sanchez has beaten a bunch of nobodies including good ol' lay n pray Koscheck. I've never seen any of his pre-TUF fights, but I'm still not convinced he is top tier. He is a good figher, I can admit that, but Matt Hughes would wipe the floor with him.

Ol Dirty Dastard
11-07-2005, 07:42 PM
Diaz isn't a nobody, he went toe-to-toe with Karo Parysian, and took apart Robbie Lawler standing. Diego needs probably another year and he'll be ready for Matt Hughs. Dunno if he'd win, but he'd put up a tough fight.

I wanna see Diego fight Georges St. Pierre, because I think Georges would take him to school, and I dunno it could be intriguing.

Diego is a great fighter, but I cant stand him. I dont like him and I want someone to knock him out really bad.

Diego tore Diaz up on the ground but Diaz was right about Diego not wanting to stand up with him. I would like to see them go at it again in the future.

Card was great I loved all the fights except the decision at the end of the Diego/Diaz fight. I agree Diego won the fight, but 30/27 on all 3 cards was to much. Neither person did much of anything that whole fight that impressed me and I thought that it was going to be a lot closer.

Why in the hell would Diego stand with him? He's a ground specialist.

It's not being afraid, it's being smart.

Did I say Diego was afraid of him. No. Did I say Diaz said Diego was afraid to stand up with him. No. I said that Diaz was right when he said Diego would not stand up with him, because he didnt. Diaz said that in his interview, not I.
