Do you think that Ric Flair should get one more run with either the WWE Championship or the World Heavyweight Title? Seriously? I have been back and forth on this since seeing him win the Intercontinental Title. It just doesn't look right to see guys like that on top when so many young stars will never hold the gold. In the same sense though I can't think of too many times I have been more proud of a World Heavyweight Champion then when Funk held the ECW Title back in 1997. So what do you think? I certianly wouldn't mind seeing Flair take the WWE Title for one last spin, he wins by some dirty tricks, but no one seems to care, everyone comes out and has a second Ric Flair Night (my god I cried like a little girl last time). He could drop the title the next night (or week if this was on a RAW) for all I care...so yeah...I just talked myself into it. How about you? Would you like to see Flair be The Man one more time?

And if all that wasn't enough argument...how about this...Hogan did it. :shifty:

Flair actually puts people over. He deserves one last run.

Yeah but a short reign though like you said.

Yes, Ric Flair should have one it last time. Ric Flair is one of the few legends who actually deserves "one last run" before he retires.

I think he can handle it, it would be a good way to cap off his career. Flair deserves a title run just as much as the next guy, he really busts his ass every night. He might not be in the shape he was once in but he still gets it done in the ring. The Flair/Carlito match from two weeks ago (which some of you thought was horrible) I felt was a fantastic display of old school. He may not be able to carry everyone on the roster like he could back in the day but given the right opponent, such as Angle, H, or HBK, he could really put on a show and be a credible champion. In short, I'm down with that.

Flair looks fucking ridiculous even wrestling wiht that body. Hell no he shouldn't get another run, like when Hogan had the belt a while back I was looking at wwe.com and one of my friends saw it and cracke dup laughing at the fact Hogan was champ, just like when we were kids, it completely robs wrestling of any credibility and drives casual fans away continually giving old guys one last run.

Pete

Also it robs the title of credibility, I saw in one thread about steroids someone saying wrestlers took them because they had to look bigger than the average fan, in the same way if a 50 odd can win the belt it robs it of any sort of credibility, even when they put it on someone younger....I mean at least Hogan is still a monster compared to joe average, Flair may still be stronger than your average slob but the saggy skin kills him

He's still a better wrestler than most of the roster, and he's more entertaining. So, yes.

Also it robs the title of credibility

WWE booking the "title" robbed it / them of credibility a LONG time ago. If anything, Flair holding it (for a run, not just a warmer) would give it some credibility back.

Batista, JBL, Cena, and others hardly equal credibility for any belt (unless you're an indy promotion booking them after they're done with WWE).

Credibility = Bret Hart, 5-time Champion
Today = Triple H, 10-time belt holder :n:

At least Cena and the others mentioned look like a threat, Flair just looks like an old man.

The thing with Flair is he's not strong, he isn't fast, He's DIRTY, thats all he is and it works for him.

Yeah, its like this. Because he is old he cant win fair, so he cheats. Because he isn't legitimately beating people no one questions the victory. Thus making it credible.

At this point of his career, it doesn't really matter HOW he wins, the fact is he still looks like a decrept old man IMO but whatever, to each his own!

Of course it'd work. I mean, the Naitch made a credible NCW Champion, right? :shifty:

For me, it could go either way. I wouldn't mind if he won, but I'm not gonna pray for it.

WOOOOOOOOO, Ric Flair for Champion.

Cuzziebro

But in saying that make him win it and then 2 weeks later get a young star like Masters etc, to beat him. Then they win a title and get put over more than any time in thier whole career.

I'm all for this idea. Just make HHH do the job :y:

I'd like to see this... at Homecomming Trips returns and turns on Flair... Flair and HHH face off at Taboo Tuesday... then at Survivor Series Triple H beats John Cena for the Title and then at Armageddon Triple H and Flair have a rematch for the Title and Flair wins... hold the belt until the Royal Rumble where he loses to John Cena in a triple threat match with HHH/Flair/Cena/.

All the better. There's the credibility. He beats the man he says is the best wrestler alive on the planet.

I would love one last run for him. He just has "it". Even at 50something years old his music hits you get goosebumps. You know when there's a live mic in his hands he may have a deadly promo. He won't always but it's always a possibility. The guy oozes charisma. On Raw when he took off his robe to show his IC Belt he looked like a champ, bitch tits and all (you dont' see anybody wear the belts anymore eh?). In the ring he can still do it. Yeah his matches are quite similar but they do occasionally have something new that just keeps you watching. That's what Ric Flair does, he sure as hell doesn't make you turn the channel like a lot, and I do mean A LOT of other wrestlers do.

Giving Ric Flair one more World Championship reign isn't the worst thing they could do. I would love to see it, give him the ball and let him roll with it. I think it would be great if he won the belt and retained it at the following PPV. Remember during the Hogan HBK feud everybody was so into HBK? If you saw him as "the bad guy" you still wanted to watch. He had momentum, he was saying all the right things. A title run for him wouldnt' have been that bad. I think Flair would do the same thing. Everybody would be into it whether you like him or not.

Remember back to when he had his shot at HHH on Raw? All the promos during the show made everybody believe he could do it. Well you know what he can do it. Age isn't an issue as to whether it's believable or not. It's called talent. Something the vast majority of the roster lacks.

Do you ever wonder why certain guys are always in the main event winning world titles? It's because they have the talent to do it, they have the "it" factor. Ric Flair is the man.

I would love to see Flair with the belt one last time. The only problem being that he needs to hold HIS belt... the old WCW title. I could not picture him walking down that aisle, opening up one of his robes, and showing off the small WWE belt. I just doesn't work.

I bet that if Flair did ever make one last run, with the respect that he gets from the boys in the back, that they would even allow him to work some story were he asks for the old belt to be his and then the belt (but not the title) switches shows.

*runs off to watch the Ric Flair DVD*

He should have beaten HHH on that episode of Raw, when all the guys came out to the ring and paid tribute to him after the show. Just for one week. Trips could have won the title back the next week on Raw, but if Flair should have ever had another title reign, then that was the time. The people were behind him and they were desperate for him to win. When he had the Figure Four Leg Lock on HHH, I honestly thought that Trips was going to tap.

Well if Hogan got one last nostalgia run with the belt, then Flair certainly deserves one as his matches have been far more superior to the one's of Hogan minus Hogan/HBK and Hogan/Angle.
