Mankind's 1st title win
I remember when WCW gave away the results and said Mankind won the title, I was like holy shit and had to turn on wwe to see that it actually happened and how it happened.

This is in complete mark mode cause I was a mark during almost all of these.
Gonna say Warrior dropping the belt to Slaughter. In my eyes back then, Warrior was unstopable and couldn't be beaten. And when Slaughter got the three my heart sank and it was like a "this isn't reak" type of moment.

WCW was sooo desperate at that point.

I said Mikey over Sandman for the ECW Title...I would have never in a million years thought they would actually put the title on Whipwreck. The other most shocking title win...it was Mike Awesome vs. Masato Tanaka vs. Taz for the ECW Title, going into the event I knew Taz was going to drop the belt...but as quickly as he did, and then the reaction afterwards...it was so...wow.
However I think you are missing the single biggest "Holy FUCK!" title change that shocked me completly. Was The Dudley Boys going over Balls & Spike and then Tommy and the arrival of Raven to win the titles off the Dudleys...just fucking incredible.

I forgot about that one. That would have been an incredible moment if it was live!

One of the biggest pops in ECW, Raven's return

I have to agree with this. When Mean Gene announced there was a new WWF champion, I thought for sure it was Ultimate Warrior. When Bret Hart came out, I marked like a mofo.
Mick Foley's first title win was a surprise too. So was Ron Simmons winning the WCW title.

Ron Simmons winning the WCW title was a shocker. Vader was looking unstoppable and Simmons pinned him and won the belt. The crowd went crazy and wrestlers stormed the ring. I heard that people in the audience cried that night. He was the first black world champion.

Simmons title win would be a good story to write about in a wrestling history article on here.

When Taz came back to ECW and won the ECW Title from Mike Awesome.
I was there live and we were all chanting for RVD (even though he was injured at the time) then Taz came out and totally shook the building.
Eddie winning the WWE title from Lesnar. I honestly thought that Lesnar was going to fucking kill Guerrero, then face Goldberg at WM for the WWE title and beat him as well.

I'd say Jericho when he won the Undisputed championship. I NEVER would have thought they'd put the belt on him.

Gotta be the Foley Win, I love it even though Fans knew Foley was gonna win after WCW announced it, WWE still won the ratings war that night. Thats what makes it shocking to me.
The 1st one that came to mind was Vince beating Trips on Smackdown in late-'99

I was gonna say Ronnie Garvin over Ric Flair, because he was the suck. Then someone brought up Bret Hart. It seemed out of nowhere, and BRET made it work with title against everyone, and I mean EVERYONE.

Marty Jannety I-C title win over HBK
Thing is, with a lot of title reigns, like Vince's, Sgt. Slaughter, Backlund, Guerrero or Jericho - You had to have a feeling it might happen. Infact, they built up Backlund and Slaughter to the point most people would think they would win. Guerrero got two big wins on Lesnar prior to his title win (which was a storyline I recommended at the time that people needed to see Guerrero beat Lesnar clean to have a mental visual he could win the title and thus buy the PPV) and was rumoured to be winning the belt. Jericho was made to look weak on TV the week leading up to his big win and at the time, WWF always did that to guys they intended on putting over. I even heard Booker T was getting the WCW title the night before he did on the LAW.
Hart's 1st, Simmons, Taz's second and Mick Foley's wins came literally out of nowhere.
Mankind over Rock

i already knew foley won but that pissed me off so bad
i voted for backlund beat bret
that was a tremendous WTF

I suppose Carlito over Cena for the US title since he'd never even been on the tellybox before that. Talk about a debut!
Honourable mention to Eddie besting Brock Lesnar at No Way Out 2004 however. I remember reading the stickie for the PPV on the forums here the next day and looking at some of the responses. Most were along the lines of 'HOLY SHIT!'.

The Booker T Jeff Jarrett match on the thunder before BATB was amazing. I thought Booker should win the belt eventually and that sunday he did. A big rise for booker as eariler in the year he was getting dystroyed by Harlem Heat 2000 and the Harris Twins often.

Marty over HBK was a good one day storyline. HBK was supposed to face Mr. Perfect for the belt but he was injured. The mystery oppoent was a ''boy in the hood'' it was revaled to be Marty. During the match Mr. Perfect distacted HBK and Marty rolled him up to win I went crazy over that win. I heard that Perfect orignally was supposed to beat HBK for the title. Their Summerslam 93 match has to be one of the most anticpated matches that was a dissapointment.

I had to go with "other". For me, it was Chris Jericho winning the Undisputed Title. He was the last of the four guys I thought would've won it. I thought they'd give it to Austin, since I figured they'd give it to either Rock or Austin, and I felt like Austin needed it a bit more, having just come back to the babyface side. Failing that, I could see Angle getting it since he was pretty built up as well, but Jericho had only won a World Title one other time, beating Rock for the WCW Title in what would be considered a "fluke" ordinarily.
So honestly, I was surprised by that.

Jericho winning the Undisputed Championship shocked me. I knew they would eventually give him a run with a world title, but nothing could have prepared me for Jericho beating the Rock and Steve Austin in consecutive matches and being the first Undisputed Champion. When I saw it happen, I marked the fuck out! It was the best night ever! Shame his reign was disappointing.
