View Full Version : WWE Homecoming = terrible. just terrible

WWE Homecoming was the most stupidest shit ever on WWE TV this year
Austin segment was retarded and not funny
Hogan's segmnet was lol because at least it didn't drag on. But also pointless. Austin vs. Hogan? LOL Fuck Hogan
No Rock
Basically the whole show was a waste of time. I want those 3 hours of my life back
WWE Legends vs. Conway = pointless
Now I am affiliated with Positive Donny Delight (PDD) and I don't consider myself a very negative person. But god dammit, this was just terrible
And don't get me started on the lame opening and ending segments. Terrible. Just terrible

I applaud you Naitch. I bitched about the show in the Raw thread and nearly got bitch slapped for it.
I went as far as saying that one hour of TNA was better than three hours of WWE

I guess the only good thing about it was seeing Teddy Long thuggin and buggin in the ring giving Chimmel props.

this is what i wrote in the Homecoming thread on Monday:
this show had so much going for it: the legends, Raw, Smackdown!... all on one show and they did nothing with it.
Piper's Pit was good, as was Austin v "The Family". HHH turning on Flair was somewhat predictable. The Legends beating up on Conway was funny. HBK/Angle tore the house down just too bad it was the first match.
But then they threw 95% of the matches in the last 45 mins. No Smackdown match, no major run-ins (minus the end), and when they did have a chance to have a clusterfuck big bang ending... they cut it off. So much for all the "extra time".
I don't know. There was so much promise for this night and it left me wanting so much more. Maybe it's just me, but I think they really blew it tonight.
Why not have Sleazy beat Cena with Angle's help but have Vince turn it around next week? Why not have Batista confront HHH after the beating he gave Flair? Why not a Mr. Kennedy promo? Why not have Hardy flip out after he lost instead of having him walk out like a bitch with his head down?
Eh....
2 out of 5 stars (1 star for HHH and the other for HBK/Angle)
When they promote a PPV style 3 hour TV event, a fine show just isn't good enough.

I liked it. I thought it was the best Raw in recent memory. The Austin segment was gold until Linda "graced" us with her cheap 80's theme music and saggy turkey neck. Way to botch kneeling down with your chin on Stone Cold's shoulder.

The show went down hill after the Austin segment. My favourite part of the whole show was when Shan O Mac returned but he just got stunned and stayed down for 20 minutes.
The ladder match was such a let down. This was their worst match yet.
The Angle Michaels match was good but I like their previous 2 better.
The Conway thing was pointless.
Foley gets beatdown and that's it? Anyway I thought their feud ended last year?
Why get our hopes up with a smackdown match and not even do it.
Boring diva match as usual.
John Cena has to be in the main event as usual and..the odds were stacked against him! (Wow they've NEVER done that before). Too bad it wasn't a shoot fight, Eric would have made him tap so fast.
Triple H was gone for a few months, Austin was gone for years. I hate the way they made it out that Triple H's return was supposed to be the highlight of the show. He performs in an average/bad match. Great.
Shit ending.

It had it's moments, the angle-hbk match was brill til the weak ending, austin mcmahon was gold, but it should have been just austin vince, and maybe shane, they didnt need the whole clan coming out, made the segment too long, but i thought austin was gold on the mic,
i enjoyed the ladder match but again disspointed by the ending, matt should have gone nutz or something, if hes never gonna be on raw again,
womens match blah
smackdown match was just stupid, if your gonna put smackdown on, then promote it dont bury it, as for the championship match, was pointless, i enjoyed the show in parts, but they built it up so much they could have done better

Come on, how else were they going to end the ladder match? It was really dramatic for Hardy to be able to see Edge climb the ladder and pull down the case to win the match, whilst being held back by Lita. Nice bit of booking in my opinion, and very much similar to the ending of HBK/Razon Ramon from Wrestlemania X - so make of that what you will.

It was too short. But the ending was good just for the fact that Hardy didnt look too weak and it made you hate the heels a heel of alot. The crowd was into it so that made it alot better.
I agree with Chavo here it was one of the better raws we have had in a while. It was a good show untill they fucked up the last half an hour.
But hey its the WWE they cannot go though a show or a PPV without fucking something up. It's Company policy

Nick Mondo vs. Ric Blade and Sonjay Dutt vs. JC Bailey are AMAING ladder matches. I will upload them if I get the chance. I also have a good M Dogg 20 vs. Josh Prohibition one. ALL CZW.
The ladder match monday had nothing new, nothing innovative, nothing to make it stand out. I love ladder matches and I felt that this match was an insult to ladders.

Not really. I'd much rather watch HBK and Scott Hall from Wrestlemania or Summerslam 2000, or even Jericho/Benoit from 2001 Rumble than most of the CZW offerings. I've already said that I'm not particularly impressed with broken bones and scar tissue as a result of sick spots. The psychology and timing from the three examples above provide much more entertainment

Yeah I hated it I didn't know anyone could screw up a Kurt Angle vs. Shawn Michaels 30 minute iron match. But WWE seemed to do that quite well by declaring the match a draw.
Chavo Classic

It was a great way of generating heel heat, and it leaves the door open for a rematch at a PPV that people would have to pay for.
Besides, who didn't see the draw and inevitable sudden death coming?

And CC, they know this might be Angle's last run with the title, so i imagine they're trying to make it a memorable chase for the title for Angle.

I don't think they'll have Cena drop the title for a while. And I don't think Angle will be done just yet either, they guy makes returning from career threatening situations a hobby.

Yeah i don't think Angle will be done for a while either, but I doubt they'll give him another WWE title run with the neck problems he has after his next title run. It's about time Cena dropped the title, and I think that's where this feud is going, because Bischoff could easily cost him the title.

Truthfully I didn't see it coming. The good thing was it was so close. Shawn Michaels was like 1 second away from getting that shot. I knew that ANgle was going to walk off after Shawn mentioned the sudden death. What I see in this coming is maybe a triple threat match at No Mercy. Angle vs. Michaels vs. Cena I think that since it was a draw that could be a good idea for the next PPV.

Has there ever been a triple threat ironman match? I spy an opportunity here.
More-so because Angle and HBK could actually carry Cena through a good match and solidify his reign as champion when he beats two of the most established stars in the business.

I predicted the triple threat in another thread, but as for the iron man match, i'm a bit 50-50 on this idea with Cena being invovled.I'm not sure if he can go 60 minutes with these two.It is a good way to put Cena over though, and another way to keep Angle's chase for the title going.:y:

They'd have to do the triple threat thing sooner rather than later, or the fans disclosure from not seeing the conclusion of the ironman match from Monday's Raw will be forgotten and the match will lose some of its meaning.
I imagine that Hogan/Austin would be left for something HUGE like Mania. So you'll never see that unfortunately. We'll just have to wait for free PPVs on sky

I thought it was possibly one of the best RAWS of the year (up there with Batista's face turn and The first week of the draft lottery) Sure the matches were rushed but I enjoyed the moments. They wasted time though with HHH beating on Flair for the longest time, the B and P match being a little long and the long entrances of the smackdown guys. I also believe that Cena/Bischoffs match was a little over 4 minutes long and there was no drama to it at all.
